A my city
I'm from New York, but I now live in the north of Norway in a small city e Tromso. l like living here. 1have an interesting job, and l like the people.
B our daily routine
1work from 8:00 in the morning to 4:00 in the afternoon. 1usually wake up
at 6:00 and get up at 6:15. 1take a shower and get dressed. At 6:45, 1have
breakfast and check my e-mails. l leave home at 7:15. My wife and children
leave home at 8:00. The children start school at 8:30 and finish at 2:30. I get home at about 5:00.
C light and dark
Our lives are different in the summer and the winter. In the summer, there:..~e 60 days when the sun doesn't set. From May to July, it's light at midnight.
And in the winter, we have 60 days of night. From November to January, its dark at noon!
D winter activities
lt's very dark, but it's nota bad time of year. On the weekend, we spend time together as a family, or we go skiing. We sometimes see the Northern Lights at night. They're really beautiful.
E summer activities
In the summer, we spend a lot of time outdoors. In the evening, we often have a barbecue on the beach and, on Friday nights, we sometimes go to outdoor concerts. In July, we go on vacation. We usually visit my family in New York and also spend sorne time with my wife's family in the mountains.
