Every day, too many men and women around the world struggle to feed their children with a nutritious meal. In a world where enough food is produced to feed everyone, 690 million people still go to bed on an empty stomach. In 2019, 135 million people in 55 countries suffered from acute food insecurity. Even more, that is one in three people, suffer from some form of malnutrition.

Eliminating hunger and malnutrition is one of the great challenges of our time. The consequences of poor or poor nutrition include not only suffering and damage to health, but also slower progress in many other areas of development, such as education and work.

In 2015, the global community adopted the 17 Sustainable Development Goals to improve people's lives by 2030. Goal 2, Zero Hunger, is a commitment to end hunger, achieve food security, improve nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture: this is the priority of the World Food Program.

we have chosen this goals because everyone has the right to have stocks and food sifficemte for life, for example as in African countries where hunger is widespread and we want and must make our contribution.

40% of food is thrown away in the United States, literally wasted. As happens in many other Western countries. While in others the poor preservation of food forces them to be thrown away. Thus in the world there are imbalances and difficulties in guaranteeing a production suitable to feed everyone. And there are those who argue that it is necessary to intensify agricultural industrial production to increase the quantity of crops and to achieve one of the objectives of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations.
