The Olympics:Alpine Skiing 

There are three types of Alpine Skiing events. One type is Super-G and in Super-G you have to go downhill and try to beat the time record. Another type is Slalom where you do the same thing as Super-G but you go down a less steep hill. The last event in Alpine Skiing is downhill skiing and in downhill you go down a hill between poles.

This is the highest award in the Olympics, a gold medal.

Athletes that do Alpine Skiing try to ski for gold medals. Downhill and super-G races are the fastest.

Skiers have to ski back and forth between poles. The alpine combined brings together the downhill and slalom.
