The Basics of Content Literacy

Content Literacy- The ability to read or write, specific to a domain of knowledge.
Literacy is not just for ELA classes.
Literacy is the ability to read or write.
Content Area = a domain of knowledge and skill in an academic program.

Why Does it Matter?
