Yosemite National Park

To cause the cool wind to blow
and rivers to flow,
To make the sunrise
and sunlight fill the skies,
To create the stars’ shimmer
and the moon’s glimmer,
To craft a lion’s great roar
and a lovely bird’s soar,
To allow a firefly to glow
and a tiny seed to grow,
To construct flourishing forests and open seas,
fragrant meadows and rushing streams,
To paint colorful sunsets bright
and illuminate the planet with light,
To build great snowy peaks tall
and a wonderous waterfall,
To map continents over the sea
and form humanity,
To be grateful for all nature’s magical creations
is of utmost importance,
because it brought about you and me.
Nature’s Great Powers,
3
Beautiful Bridalveil Falls

An avalanche of water plummeting over the peak,
Rushing
Down
To the
Earth,
Glistening
In the
Sunlight
As it falls,
Cascading
In a perfect
Line of
Flow,
Crashing into the stream below,
Splashing droplets that sparkle around like glitter,
Thundering like a rainstorm, Creating a wondrous masterpiece of nature.
The Wonders of Half Dome
A smooth granite dome
Then a steep plummeting face
Nature’s rare beauty

Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park

Controlled Chaos

Volcanoes volcanoes how they flow
How they devour and take control
They tremble the earth, causing corruption
While being the leader of the destruction
They open a pathway for fresh life to roam
Leaving the animals to make new homes
They make the land more grand
Nothing will break the stride
With the volcanoes aside
The Process Overtime

Volcanic stages
When eruption makes its mark
And beauty occurs
5
Beauty Comes in Different Forms

It happens when volcanoes erupt
Going onto the land, sizzling and popping
Not knowing what will happen next
Eager to cool
Obliterating old life
Unifying rock and land together like glue
Starting a new rock called Igneous
6
GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK
As the Lizard Thirsts
The plants had withered
With the dry, dusty terrain
It sprinkled, then rained
Personal Beauty
As far as you can see
Each divit had been a stream

As it slowly started to dissipate drop by drop
It sculpted into a formation which is gazed at today

As the sun set behind the hills
As the crickets sound shrills

Each has its own formation
Unlike any other location
