A few words I don't completely understand is hermetically and abyss. I can infer that hermetically means a place that is sealed off/protected from the outside world.
According to the text I can infer that abyss means a deep dark bottomless pit.

What does hermetically and abyss mean?

They made it to Auschwitz, they said it was easier than the other camp they were at. While they were there, the met a relative and the commanding officer who they had got fired. So they got a more strict one. So they wanted to be transported to a different camp, But while all of this was happening their relative disappeared.
