DAVID CRANE
David Crane was born in Hull in 1946, where he spent his early childhood years. The family of the artist moved to East Africa for three years and it is likely that the early stirrings of David’s love for wildlife was instilled during this time. Returning to England, the family settled in Hampshire where David continued his education, gradually developing a liking for art, not realizing at this time that it was to become his vocation. In 1978 David successfully completed a Bachelor of Arts Honors Degree and it was during this year that he moved from the world of industry and aviation to pursue at a professional level his growing love for painting.
