Dear Parents and Students,

I often hear parents and students sharing the thought that examinations are stressful. If you ponder over it you can find the reason to be very simple; the students are not having a routine. The mantra to help children cope with exam stress is simple and very clear. When the academic term begins for students parents should advise them to maintain a home-work routine from day one followed by an hour of self-study and revision. The self-study duration can vary for different classes. The secondary and senior secondary classes will need atleast 3 hours. During the weekends' parents should allot time for question hour and mock tests. This way, their academics are up to date with minimal stress during the exam season. Plus always remember to have normal conversations with them and remain mindful to leave out the word ‘exam’.

The students and teachers were busy with revision and assessments during February and March. The class picnics were the most sought-after break for classes IX & XI. The First Assisi Round Table Conference, saw the delegates dealing with all aspects of the refugee crisis. They had an astounding facilitator in Rev. Fr. Jaison Vadassery Joseph, Secretary of, the International Catholic Migration Commission. The Grant Finale of the Youth Leadership Programme saw the mind-blowing transformation of the YLPians. The school innovation council swung into action with the session on Emerging Technology. Refresher courses were offered to teachers both inside and outside the school to upskill them. The staff had a one-day outing to relax and rejuvenate from their mundane tasks.

We have a Champion, Dhyan P Pavoor of Class IV D who made us proud by winning the championship and gold medal for Karate.  Our Sprint champion is Jove B John of Class XI who lifted the Kerala State Athletic Championship with gold medals.  Our students got good scores in JEE entrance and Shan Harold emerged as the topper with 97.2.  Faiz Mohamed Thayeeb of Class X C was placed in the top one hundred students from Thiruvananthapuram region of CBSE for Aryabhatta Ganit Challenge.  Sarah Jane George performed
commendably in the second level of the Olympiads.  Hearty congrats to all the winners.
Best wishes,
Suma Paul
