La Victoria amazónica, catalogada como la flor acuática más grande del mundo, sólo florece cada dos o tres meses en las lagunas quietas, poco profundas y de aguas cenagosas de los alrededores de los grandes ríos de las selvas amazónicas.&nbsp;<br/>

Hello, we are team number 2. My name is José Carlos and my teammates are Itzia, Mateo, Camila and Victoria Beltrán. We’re talking about Strange plants and curious flowers. The name of this plant is Victoria water lily.

Victoria water lilies have a beautiful flower the size of a basketball.<br/>The flower comes out at night and at first, it’s white. Then, the flower changes color to pink!&nbsp;

La flor de color blanco que florece la primera noche es femenina y muy fragante. Por el día, la flor se cierra y la segunda noche es rosada y masculina. Puede producir polen que sirve para fecundar otras flores.<br/>

This plant has very big leaves in the shape of circles. They can be as big as a person! The leaves float in the water and the flowers change color!  The Victoria water lily can live 5 years and is so strong, you can stand on it.
