‘PLEASE SAVE OUR HOMELAND!’
Narrator Kallia (Greece):
Once upon a time, all sea creatures, small and big lived happily in the oceans and the seas around the world. Whenever they met they would chat, sing, dance, play games and narrate happy stories about how beautiful their life was under the sea!
But nowadays things have changed …. many of these species have disappeared due to global warming and the contamination of the seas and oceans.
Big whales, huge seals, octopuses, stingrays, sea turtles, crabs, colorful jellyfish, sharks, playful dolphins and many many more sea creatures, are in big danger now because of climate change! Whenever they see each other under the sea, they are in anxiety and constantly complain that they need to leave there natural habitat to find cleaner waters and to lead a better life there.
Shhh! I hear them talking now. Let’s listen to them! Oh! They talk about finishing nets trapping them and that the bottom of the sea has become an enormous rubbish bin full of plastic and garbage!
It makes me so sad! It makes me want to cry.
Let’s go closer and listen:
