As the dark, unknown, creature chased her in the gloomy woods, she ran as fast as her body let her. She looked back at the creature, but it had vanished just as it had once appeared. “But where did it go, she shouted.” She was so worn out, that she collapsed on the path. She crawled along the path, afraid the creature might reappear, but she was no longer able to summon the strength to stand. She took a moment to catch her breath, but she could no longer even move. As she was frozen on the path, the creature looked down at her, so close she knew she was staring death in the eye. That was the end. She surrendered to this unknown creature as it was her only escape from this living nightmare. She knew it was her time, and she had accepted that, and yet, something felt off. She thought back to how she had woken up in these woods some months back. She had no knowledge of how she had gotten there and all her memories were in blurry fragments. All she knew was that she had been tormented by this unfamiliar creature ever since this nightmare began. She had managed to keep away from it until now. Whatever, nothing mattered anymore, if it truly was the end, it didn’t matter what was going on right.

Just as she shut her eyes, and accepted her fate, she felt a weird sensation and suddenly her surroundings had changed completely. She found herself in a car and found herself driving it into a lake in the night. She shouted for help but it was no use. She couldn't stop driving. "Please make it stop, make it stop." "Help me!" She screamed with terror. It was as if she was reliving someone's death. Suddenly, the creature appeared next to her in the car and said "This is the price you shall pay for meddling with things greater than yourself." "You will relive the woods and the car "accident" for all of eternity." Confused, she wondered what she had done to deserve this living nightmare.

She was in a state of shock, she still couldn't believe what she was seeing and hearing. Then she came back to her senses and realized she was still driving into the lake. She screamed and cried out helplessly while the creature watched with amusement and satisfaction. Then, the car fell into the lake and filled up with water. She gasped for air but the water kept coming and she found herself buckled in. She felt herself running out of time. She struggled helplessly but it was hopeless. Then the creature appeared and said yet again, "This is the price you shall pay every day for all of eternity." "Your suffering has saved the world from yourself". She heard every word, despite her current state. This suffering continued every day, until one night, she had had enough.
