"Timun Mas"

Mbok Sirni agrees. The giant gave her cucumber seeds to plant and care for. After two weeks, one of the planted cucumbers bore the largest, golden-shining fruit.

Then, Mbak Sirni cut the cucumber carefully. Unexpectedly, inside the cucumber was a beautiful baby named Timun Mas.

It is said that Mbak Sirni was a widow who wanted a child so she could help her work.

One day, she was visited by a giant who wanted to give her a child. The condition is that when the child is 17 years old, she must be handed back to him to eat.

One day a giant came to claim her promise. Mbok Sirni was very afraid of losing Timun Mas, he held out on her promise that the giant would come in two years. The giant agreed.

He thinks that the older he gets, the more delicious Timun Mas is to eat.

One night Mbak Sirni had a dream. In her dream, it was stated that in order for his son to be safe, she had to meet a hermit on Kidul Mountain.

Without thinking, in the morning Mbok Sirni went straight to Mount Gundul to meet a hermit who gave her four small packages, namely cucumber seeds, needles, salt and shrimp paste as an antidote.

When they got home, Mbok Sirni gave the four packages from the hermit to Timun Mas and asked her to pray.

Mbok Sirni loves Timun Mas more and more. On the other hand, she feels anxious and sad when he remembers her promise.

One night Mbak Sirni had a dream. In her dream, it was stated that in order for his son to be safe, she had to meet a hermit on Kidul Mountain.

She also scattered cucumber seeds in the forest. Miraculously, cucumber seeds become a field of cucumbers full of fruit. The giant eats cucumbers which increase his strength.

Then Timun Mas sowed the needle. In an instant, the needles turned into very tall and sharp bamboo trees.

The tree injured the giant's leg, but the giant continued to chase with bleeding legs.

Seeing the giant still chasing him, Timun Mas opened the packet of salt and sprinkled it. Instantly, the forest became a vast ocean. The giant was able to pass through.

Then Timun Mas sowed the needle. In an instant, the needles turned into very tall and sharp bamboo trees.

Finally, Timun Mas opened the shrimp paste, immediately a boiling sea was formed. The giant was unable to save himself, he died in the sea of mud.

Finally, Timun Mas expressed her gratitude and she could live happily with Mbok Sirni.
