A virus spreading worldwide
Epidemic V.S. Pandemic
An epidemic is a virus only spreading around a country or a small area. There are two types of epidemics. The one most people think of, is where it spreads from person to person by coughing, sneezing, etc. The other type is where an insect or liquid has the disease in it. For example, a mosquito can spread malaria, and a flea can spread bubonic plague.
A pandemic is a virus spreading all over the world. A pandemic is way more effective to the world. Pandemics normally happen when it is a new virus, because nobody is immune, so the virus can affect anybody it wants to.
