Let's Add and Subtract

There were 6 dogs laying on the grass.  Then 1 more dog came along.  Then there were 7 dogs in all. 6+1=7

There were 3 unicorns on the grass. Then 4 more came. There were 7 in all. 3+4=7

There were 3 rabbits on the grass. Then 2 more rabbits came. There were 5 rabbits in all.

There were 3 bears in the cave. Then 5 more bears came in. 3+5=8 There are 8 bears in all.

There were 6 fish. Then 1 fish swam away. There were 5 fish left. 6 - 1 = 5

There was 1 dog on the grass. Then 1 more dog came along. There were 2 dogs in all. 1 + 1 = 2

There were 8 ants on a log. Then 3 ants crawled away. There were 5 ants left. 8-3=5

There were 3 cats in The yard Then 2 cats came There are 5 cats in all 3+2=5

There were 2 kids in the house. Then 2 more came to join them. There are 4 kids in all. 2+2=4

There were 4 cats eating on the mat.   Then 3 ran away.  There is 1 cat left. 4-3=1
