Welcome to the Aspire Academy Trust.

Aspire is a vibrant, highly successful and widely recognised Trust determined to raise standards of educational achievement to the very highest levels. We don’t just aim for our children to achieve what is average or expected, but for them to excel both academically and in character.

Trauma-Informed Schools

Trauma Informed Schools UK is a registered community interest company working in association with the Centre for Child Mental Health. It provides training to ensure that every adult in a school or community has the skills and understanding to respond appropriately to the relational and emotional needs children may display.

TiS supports schools to create a mentally healthy environment and culture in which all within the school community, adults and children alike, can flourish and achieve. It advocates a whole school response and evidenced based relational approaches to provide an enriched environment to buffer the impact of stress that may result from adversity and painful life events.

In addition, specially trained Trauma and Mental Health Informed Practitioners offer targeted intervention to children who may be experiencing challenges within their life that without support may act as a barrier to their ability to fully engage with life and learning.

At Summercourt Academy our inspiring curriculum takes the children on a journey where they will embed their knowledge and basic skills leading them to become active learners and creative thinkers. We will immerse the children in purposeful learning experiences to encourage inquiring and curious minds. We want our children to become motivated, self aware, independent and capable young people set for an ambitious future!

Welcome to the
Early Years

We follow "The Statutory Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework" which sets the standards to ensure that children learn and develop well and are kept healthy and safe. It promotes teaching and learning to ensure children’s 'school readiness’ and gives children the broad range of knowledge and skills that provide the right foundation for good future progress through school and life.

At Summercourt Academy we begin each term with a new project and an inquiry question as a hook to engage and motivate our children's learning. Please have a look at our Academy website for further information.

This is our Classroom. We have many shared spaces for learning and well organised resources.

This is our EYFS garden. We also have a Forest School Area, a large field and a playground.

8:35 - Gates open and morning activities begin
8:45 - Register and Phonics
10:00 - Snack Time and Story Time
10:15 - Play Time
10:30 - Maths activities and Rhyme Time
12:00 - Lunch Time
13:00 - Register and Afternoon activities
14:45 - Assembly and Story Time
15:00 - Class Reward Time
15:15 - Home time (Gates open at 15:05 for EYFS collection)
