3. Not all DM's play the same game. While the campaigns that I run are more linear and combative, Harvey's required more investigation and teamwork. 4. As a DM, it is more important that the players have fun then get 100% of your story!

Harvey is not the only DM in our group, and <a href="https://twitter.com/cat_em0ji?lang=en">Cat</a> is a significantly more seasoned DM and player, and has offered to run a campaign after our class comes to an end. I am looking forward to continue along my own adventure of learning, and getting to work with amazing players and other DMs along the way!

Harvey spent weeks adapting his own campaign story from one if his favourite video-game series, <a href="https://thewitcher.com/en/">The Witcher</a>.

Four things I learned as a player: 1. To be patient. I am not the DM, and I do not dictate the direction of the story. 2. As a player, it is important you listen to what the DM is saying, as often they are leading you.

This week on <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/DnDPowerHour?src=hash&amp;lang=en">#DnDPowerHour</a>, a regular player named Harvey and I swapped places! Harvey acted as DM, and I settled in as Tana Marsk, a human cleric to play.

Having only played once before, <a href="https://twitter.com/HomoBabadook?lang=en">Harvey</a> provided me some incredible perspective on my own DM'ing experience and what it's like to be a player.
