OVERVIEW
The national flag of the United States of America. It consists of thirteen red and white horizontal stripes with a blue rectangle in the left corner with fifty small, white, five-pointed stars. The 50 stars on the flag represent the 50 states of the United States of America, and the 13 stripes represent the thirteen British colonies that declared independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain, and became the first states in the U.S
The Great Seal of the United States. It is used to authenticate certain documents issued by the Federal government of the United States. The obverse of the Great Seal is used as the national coat of arms of the United States.
The reverse has never been cut (as a seal) but appears, for example, on the back of the one-dollar bill.

Official language: There is NO official language at the federal level, but English is the national language and the official language in many states. Hawaii is the only state which is officially bilingual, recognizing Hawaiian Pidgin English as an official language.
Other languages: There are at least 350 different languages spoken in the US today, the top 5 being Spanish, Chinese, French, Tagalog and Viatnamese.
