Seventeen students from the Alternative High School were able to spend a couple of hours exploring the various career opportunities offered at theme parks, such as Six Flags Great Adventures Safari in Jackson, NJ.

While all of the students were able to identify the most obvious occupations, such as ticket sales, security, maintenance/custodial, retail, and food services, many were surprised to find that theme parks also rely on engineering, horticulture, architecture, medical and veterinary sciences, biologists, and business, all majors found in 4-year colleges.
