For example, take that science fiction film, about a space station with a few humans that is going to be attacked by aliens, because that’s what the Netflix introduction says. Maybe our protagonist is that kind of girl you know is going to escape from everything, while the rest of people die terribly. The girl is in the station with her boyfriend, and bad aliens start killing everyone. Boyfriend dies tragically, killed by a plasma gun or something. She then survives a lot of alien attacks, breaks her leg (a classic!), infiltrates in the alien spaceship, grabs a gun and shoots bad aliens that were guarding some kind of jail. In the jail there's an injured she-alien that looks enough human to be sexualized by the director without further questioning. Girl compassionately saves she-alien, they proceed to go through some more alien attacks together, girl cries over dead boyfriend, she-alien comforts her. They fall in love while you were looking for snacks in the kitchen. Bad aliens attack again. She-alien turns out to be the last one of a race of warrior aliens, transforms into a monster to protect girl and eats bad aliens, but is too out of her mind to remember her girlfriend isn't food. Girl escapes she-alien with the bad aliens' spaceship, the movie finishes with a 'to be continued'. The critics hate the film because they say the main character hasn't got personality, the plot is predictable and the special effects are bad. Normal people like the film but hate the ending.

Everything that I have explained could be the typical movie you find in Netflix, except for the fact that both the protagonist and her main love interest are females. And that’s what LGBT+ people want. We want the kind of representation where being LGBT+ doesn't really affect the plot of our favorite movies, is just there. Because we're also there, and we have personalities apart from our sexual orientation, or gender identity. Nowadays, there's more and more media that is trying to achieve that.

An example is Sense8, a show about people with connected minds around the world. Each one of the characters have different stories and problems. One of the protagonists is a transgender woman who's also a very talented hacker, and eventually marries a woman. Another one is a closeted gay actor, that hides the fact that he's dating a man, and eventually saves his best friend from her abusive boyfriend. They have stories and personalities apart from being LGBT+. It affects the plot, of course, but not more than another character's religion or ethnicity.&nbsp;

To say that David Bowie has had an important role in the music industry would be an understatement: the singer-songwriter has had a huge impact on pop culture due to his innovative music, exploration of new genres and gender fluidity. Bowie first rose to fame with albums such as “David Bowie (aka Space Oddity)” (1969) or “Hunky Dory” (1971) and has since become an important figure in pop culture, creating many other successful albums like “Aladdin Sane” (1973) and “The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars” (1972). What established him as an artist that wasn’t afraid to break barriers in terms of expressing gender and sexuality was his famous alter ego “Ziggy Stardust”, who was flamboyant and androgynous, along with many other alter egos that he created throughout his career. He has inspired many other artists both musically and artistically, and has become a legendary figure in pop culture.

THE TRUTH IN LYING By: Vinyet Carbonell

Lies are very common in our daily life. Even though no one likes being lied to, it takes two people to form a lie. The person who created it and the person who believed it.&nbsp; Even though there are many machines and research studies that try to catch a liar in the act, nothing can prove one hundred percent that someone is lying.&nbsp;Even though it is impossible to be absolutely sure that someone is lying, there are many professionals that study body language and can figure out some form of deceit.&nbsp; A very common trope when trying to figure out if someone is lying is looking in their eyes. This isn’t always helpful, it depends on the person. Some people are ashamed of their lie and look away, others think that the other person will see through them and that's why they will avoid looking straight into their eyes. But some people will look straight into the other person's eyes to make them think they are not lying.&nbsp; Another easy way to know is someone is in discomfort or is stressed in that particular situation is if they make a lot of self confort touching.

Usually, they gently stroke their face, arms and hands. Another thing they might do to protect themselves is cover their torso and neck. When a person does that, it indicates they feel attacked and they want to protect their vulnerable areas.&nbsp; Lying is always on a liar’s mind. When telling the lie, they casually mention someone else is lying. Most of the time, they also divert the question and fill the answer with unimportant and irrelevant information. If you ask them to tell the story backwards, they won’t be able to because it is&nbsp; made up.&nbsp; Aside from moving their eyes, liars also show different signs. Sometimes they shake their head or nod and it’s&nbsp; incongruent with what they are saying. Other times they can't help smiling for their victory of lying to you.&nbsp; These are some signs of body language to prove someone is deceiving you. But you have to keep in mind it all depends on the person telling that lie and you need to study them to know what their body language is typically like. It is not one hundred percent accurate that they lie and these signs might just show discomfort or defense.&nbsp; But now you can try and catch a liar.&nbsp;

There's been a lot of talk lately about the police in the United States, with the murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis. And this topic has caught my attention a lot, because my question is: Do the police really have the right to kill a suffocated man just for being black? Several celebrities like Lebron James, Stephen Curry and many others protested about this murder. Also the police in Texas, in 2015, killed Latino immigrants in a shooting to prevent them from entering the USA. But, I have another question, why don't blacks or Latinos kill people who are not their same colour? I think we must stop seeing the place we come from and keep in mind who we really are as people.

would like to address the opinion article posted last week about musicals. In the article, it was claimed that most people find musicals boring and they only watch them on Broadway to prove their wealth status. It also stated that the only watchable musicals were the ones that had famous songs included like ‘Mamma mia‘. I disagree on most of the things stated in the article. I am a musical fan and most of my favorite musicals are the ones with original songs. Musical songs have a way of lifting people’s spirits. You enter the theatre with some expectations and, when you come out, those expectations have been beaten.&nbsp;&nbsp; That is my opinion on musicals. As Frederick stepped outside and Paola came closer, he could see the modern glint in his eye. Paola gazed with the affection of 5213 down to earth glorious guppies. He said, in hushed tones, "I love you and I want love."

They looked at each other with calm feelings, like two bright, burnt birds loving at a very stable birthday party, which had classical music playing in the background and two spiteful uncles thinking to the beat. Frederick studied Paola's ginger legs and curvaceous arms. Eventually, he took a deep breath. "I'm sorry," began Frederick in apologetic tones, "but I don't feel the same way, and I never will. I just don't love you Paola." Paola looked jumpy, his emotions raw like a grim, grubby gun. Frederick could actually hear Paola's emotions shatter into 5780 pieces. Then the peculiar god hurried away into the distance. Not even a glass of whiskey would calm Frederick's nerves tonight. THE END

Aitana's new song, Enemigos, approaches two million views in just one day on YouTube after opening on various platforms this Friday. Along with the Mexican band Reik, the Catalan artist becomes a heroine in an animated video clip.

"The song is about a relationship that repeats itself, that goes wrong and you come back ...". The most striking thing about this new song is a spectacular video clip of heroes and villains, of struggles between good and evil. "I have always wanted to be a heroine in my dreams," she admits. "The video clip - designed by the illustrator Laia López - is something completely different from the song, something more metaphorical," he contrasts. "I am very happy and eager for everyone to see it," she continues.

FAKE NEWS ABOUT CORONAVIRUS by Ernest Ortega Coronavirus. This virus is very dangerous and is killing a lot of people everyday. People are scared and, for this, is susceptible to believe fake news. Fake news tells us things that we want to listen. Therefore, it is possible to believe a fake news. The author does it because you believe it. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;But, why would anyone want to create a fake news? Of course, to earn money. When you open some fake news, when you share&nbsp;fake news, the creator makes money. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;How do we know it is fake news? Fake news, normally tells you the things that we want to listen, or it makes you have strong emotions. But, if you look closely, the text is not coherent. Not have a lot of number information, and is not exactly.&nbsp;

In this magazine we have lots of different sections, we have a great sense of humour so you will find lots of sections about memes, jokes... they are called: top 10 best jokes and our meme section. We also have a page with all of the collaborators who worked in this magazine's issue. We have also have included some political and social views, through a letter talking about racism and LGTB+ representation. However, we are not just a bunch of jokers and kids who talk about political views, we have also good quality comics, great stories, 2 whole pages with interesting games, and a lot of cool stuff like a section where we talk about David Bowie. We hope you enjoy this issue.

Also, we have a problem and it's called queerbaiting. A lot of people start watching shows, and notice same sex characters in close and often ambiguous relationships that can be easily interpreted as romantic, and get excited. Show-runners also notice that, and use it to attract more audience by staying in the thin line between close friendship and romantic partners, and sometimes tease in one side or another. But they don't have any wish to pursue the possibility for romance, they don't have the guts for continuing what they started, afraid of people's reaction. That makes a lot of fans mad, because they came along all the time thinking something may happen, just to find out it was a bait. BBC is an expert. They have a talent for grabbing well-established characters and stories like Sherlock Holmes and the Arthurian Legend, and making them… Gayer. And they use it for advertising, they tease, but never pursue.

A lot of people think this is the fans' fault, for interpreting subtext, or say something like 'can't there be straight people in complex relationships without someone thinking they're in love?'. But it's funny how they only refer to same gender relationships. It is considered normal for characters of opposite genders just to look at each other once, and we assume they're going to marry and have three children called Marta, Margot and Markus. But it is considered strange for people to assume that two same gender characters that care for each other, show affection that trespasses the borders of friendship, and are bonded together not only by themselves, but also by the plot, maybe are in love. Just maybe.
