Reason for founding

On the Southern colonies there were multiple reasons for founding and this page will tell you some of them.

First, they came to make money and to have access to a lot of land.

Second, there was equal rights so the Catholics could come.

Third, they helped poor people who couldn't pay the debt not to go to debtors' prison.

Last, they kept Spanish troops from moving north from Florida.

Those were some of the reasons for founding the southern colonies.

Geography

You made it to the geography part so lets learn about the Southern Colonie's geography. The first thing that was super important is that was super important is that they were well suited for planting and selling tobacco. The southern colonies were overall super good for growing cash crops. For example, the climate was good for growing indigo and it was also good for growing rice because it was swamp. Those were just a few things about the Southern Colonie's geography.

Economy

The Southern Colonies had multiple ways to make money so it wasn't so hard to make money there. The first job out of so many is selling cash crops, like I said the Southern Colonies were super good for growing cash crops so that wasn't so bad of a job. Although, you did have to work a lot in order to plant the cash crops. Second, fishing was a really good alternative because you could fish some for yourself and some to sell and get money. Last, there is so much more, and this are some:

indentured servants
shipping
trading good
cutting forests
There is much more but if I list all it would take one hour to read. Those were some of the ways to make a living in the Southern Colonies.

Why is it better than the other colonies?

The Southern Colonies are amazing and that is why I think there are so many reasons you need to move there instead of the other colonies. First, unlike the other colonies that came mostly for religious reasons the Southern Colonies was created for more land, some religious reasons, and helping people. Second, in the other colonies you could plant crops like fruits and natural things. While in the Southern Colonies you can plant tobacco, indigo, and rice so that means you could get a lot more money. Last, the land there is super good for planting and fishing and the others do also have good land but they don't have as much. Those were some reasons to move to the south and not to the other colonies.
