Haiku inspired by Drakeā€™s ā€œFair Tradeā€

Senseless sight to see
Iā€™m outside, south side, seaside
Big wheels keep rolling
Metaphor poem

Life is like gambling, you gotta take risks and go all in. But the dealer will always win
Imagery poem:

Cloverdale Arena

The smell of the manure coming from the barn behind the arena
The feel of the rusty door handles i think are going to fall off if i touch them again
I can taste the mold growing on the dirty ceiling
I can not see anything because the lights in the locker room donā€™t work
The sound of the shower light flickering and a sudden crash as the paper towel dispenser falls of the wall
The locker rooms are small, the food is awful
I hate the Cloverdale Arena
Sound poem:

ā€œI think there are rats living in my Manhattan apartmentā€

BANG POW POW POW!
Vroom, beep beep HOOONKKKK slam
Squeak squeak
Huh?
Squeak squeak
Experience poem:

ā€œNovember 11th 2021ā€

I walk into the North Surrey Sport And Ice Complex, the Knights in desperate need of a win to end their 14 game losing streak. They are against Abbotsford. The puck drops, the fans cheer, ā€œLETS GO SURREYā€ roars through the arena. Everything was going well, the Knights were up 1-0. But as quick as cheetahs Abbotsford came storming back and Surrey found themselves down 3-1. The crowd was silent. But not to long after Surrey went down, they tied the game, then quickly took the lead. The crowd was on pins and needles. The knights were able to add 1 more to their lead and get their 2nd win of the season. Post game saw an emotional speech from owner John Craighead. The giant stack of pizza boxes (10 boxes) was completely devoured by the end of the night! It truly was a ā€œKnightā€ to remember
