Uninhabitable land - land where humans can’t live (polar areas, deserts, swamps, rocky mountains)
Habitable land - all of the other land that is not being used to feed us (forests, wild areas, developed cities and neighborhoods)
Erosion - wind or water blows away the topsoil
Deforestation - clearing out trees in forest lands to use for building
Overgrazing - when livestock graze areas too much and too quickly and it damages the soil
Soil - the ground needed for farming because of its rich nutrients
