Langston Hughes was a central figure in the Harlem Renaissance.

Langston Hughes was a American Poet, social activist novelist, playwright and columnist and Joplin Missouri.
One of the earliest innovators of the literary art from called jazz poetry Hughes is best known as a leader of the Harlem renaissance.

Langston Hughes was the first black american to earn his money only off of writing and public weary blues was one of his last poems.
He was also a novelist and he wrote central figure in the Harlem renaissance.

Langston Hughes first poem was called The Negro Speaks of Rivers.

Langston Hughes wrote his first book in 1921 when he was 20 years old.
