No fear!

It was a normal Monday afternoon in September. I was on the way home from school when I saw some guys standing around a girl. They were holding her bag in their hands and were laughing. I heard the girl scream while one of the boys grabbed her under her skirt. I was shocked! Immediately I felt the strong wish to help that girl, but I was unable to move or to say anything. I saw the boys empty the content of the girl's bag on the street. They picked up her purse and then I heard them say: "If you tell anybody, we will hurt your little brother!". Then they left. The girl started to cry. I went to her and said: „Sorry, I was unable to help you. The same can happen to any girl every day. We have to learn to defend ourselves!"
Back home, I checked the phone book and found a martial-arts club. I called and a man with a friendly voice answered the phone.

I asked: "Do you have self-defense classes for girls?" "Yes, we do. We can start at any time," he answered. The next day, I pinned up posters everywhere at school saying:

In the following days, more than 10 girls called and wanted to participate. We started right away! We went to class three times a week because we felt there was no time to loose. Two months later, Susan, the girl who had got into trouble the other day and I were on our way home from school. Suddenly, the boy group came around the corner. They walked straight forward to us. One minute later, they were standing all around us. They started to laugh and insulted us using really ugly swearwords. They tried to grab our bags and to pull our hair.

It was evening and Mike was ringing at my door. „ Happy birthday Tom,“ Mike said to me. „Oh, hello, welcome to my sleepover-party. Come in,“ I greeted. Mike: „ I have many plans of what to do. We could play with your toys, watch films all nigth and tell us creepy stories.“ „Yes, all ideas are great,“ I agreed. Later , when it was time to sleep, my mother said: „ Good night boys, have sweet dreams!“ And then she closed the door.
„Shh,shhh, Tom wake up, lets go outside. Let’s grab our flashlights and tiptoe to the door,“ Mike whispered. I knew that going outside alone at night wasn´t the best idea, but it was kind of cool. So we grabbed our flashlights and I went outside with Mike.

I walked along the streets of our village with Mike. Nothing bad happened, but then I heard a rustle in a dark corner. „ What was that? I heard something in this dark corner,” I asked. Suddenly, a cat jumped away from that corner. We looked at each other and laughed. Later, we went to a field nearby - there was only high grass, some trees and darkness. „ I want to go home, we can`t be outside all the nigth and I`m also tired,“ I yawned. Suddenly, Mike heard a grumble and barking. „ What was that?“ Mike asked. We turned in the direction where these sounds came from and then we saw a wolf. Mike screamed : „ Run!“ But I grabbed Mike‘s arm and whispered:

„ Don`t run away from a wolf. Then he will follow you, because this is its hunting instinct. Clap your hands and make a lot of noise.“ When we did this, the wolf ran away and we went to my house. When we wanted to open the door, my mum was waiting for us. She said : „ You‘ll have house arrest!“ That was bad but our adventure was worth it.

The magic forest
Three years ago, my parents bought an old house in a dark forest. In the summer vacation my parents and I moved into this old house. When I was tidying up the loft, I found an old glass ball. I took the glass ball into my room and I placed it next to my bed. During the night while I was sleeping it happened …
I became invisible. When my parents tried to wake me up the next day, they couldn’t find me. My dad said:” Where is Felicia?”” I do not know where she is “, my mum answered. I said: „Hello, I’m here”, but they didn't hear me and then I recognized that I was invisible.
I went into the dark forest, because I wanted to think about my situation and then I saw a wise owl. She told me that there is a witch in this forest who can help me to become visible again. In the meantime, my parents and other people were still searching for me. I started to look for the witch and finally found her on a creek. When I arrived there, it turned out that she was an evil witch.

Nevertheless, I asked her if she would help me to become visible again. “Yes, if you do 2 tasks for me!”, she answered. I replied: “Ok! What should I do?” She said:” The first thing you have to do is look for a special type of mushroom that is very rare and has blue dots. The second task is to find the largest spider of the forest.” “Ok, but can I rely on you? Can we take an oath?”, I asked. “Yes, of course we can”, the witch replied. So we spoke this oath: “With my hunchbacked cat, we solemnly swear to keep the deal!” Because it was already late, I went home to sleep.
The next day I got up early and went back into the forest because I wanted to start looking for the special mushroom. When I noticed that I was lost, I wanted to turn around but then …. I saw that a wolf pack followed me. I wondered how they could see me, but then I thought that all animals in this forest might be magic and that was why they could see me.

The wolf pack followed me the whole time but when I found the special mushrooms and then wanted to pick some, the wolves started to attack me. We fought for a while when suddenly a bear appeared, I thought: “That will be my end...” Instead, the bear scared away the wolves for me. When he was finished, he addressed me: "Please accept this as a present from the wise owl”. I just stared at him because I was lost for the language. When the bear was gone again, I quickly picked up a few mushrooms and then went home because I had to treat my wounds.
After a horrible night full of nightmares and pain, I felt so worn out. Very slowly I got dressed. When I was finished, I took my magnifying glass and my insect observation glass with me. However, I asked myself if the observation glass was big enough for the largest spider of the forest. When I was ready to go it was already noon. I had to hurry to find the spider before sunset.

I walked along a canyon when I saw the wise owl again. I asked her: “Where can I find the largest spider of the forest?” “You can find the largest spider in the darkest part of the forest!”, answered the wise owl. “I have another question!”, I said. The wise owl answered: “And what is your question?” “Where is the darkest part of the forest?” She said: “Ok, listen to me carefully. You walk along this path here, then you can see a burrow that you sneak past and go straight ahead. After 30 minutes you are there.” “Thank, you!!”, I shouted back to her because I was already on my way. When I arrived, I noticed that the spider was pretty huge. The spider didn't notice me at first. When it noticed me it wanted to eat me. I was very scared, so I ran away. We were running through the whole forest, directly to the witch. The witch had been in her garden and therefore saw us coming. When I arrived, she shrunk the spider, so that the spider was very small.

So I put the spider in my insect observation glass. I gave her the mushrooms and the spider and then we brewed the magic potion.
In the meantime, my parents were very close to calling the police…
When the magic potion was finished, I took a little of it and drank it. I suddenly felt dim and shortly after I was visible again. I said thank you to the witch and then I went home.
At home I was greeted warmly, and my parents even cried with joy. The witch and I are now best friends.

One day I flew around the city. But then I saw an old woman and two gangsters who stole the woman’s money. I flew to them as fast as I could. But then I saw, that the woman was one of the gangsters. They laughed and said:,,Hehe, now the city isn’t safe anymore!”
But I whispered:,, You don’t know…” Then the gangsters took me into a big car and we drove away.
One hour later, we stopped and the gangster took me out of the car. They dragged me into a big cave and rolled a big and heavy boulder in front of the cave, so that I would’t be able to escape. ”Hello, help me please !”, I shouted, but nobody came and helped. I was so disappointed about myself, because a superhero should help people and not be in danger oneself. I looked around and then I saw it. There was a hole in the ceiling of the cave. I thought:”Maybe I can fly out of the cave through that hole.” I tried it, but it didn’t work.

Stargirl‘s superhero life

I tried it again and again and finally it worked. I was so happy and then I flew back to the city. But then… what I saw, didn’t look like my city. It was just pretty dark everywhere. I searched my flashlight and found it. I looked around and saw the gangsters who kidnapped me in front of the jail. ”Sure, they want to free all the other gangsters!” , I thought, “But I can’t save the city alone.” So I flew around with my flashlight and tried to find my best friend Rocketgirl. She’s a superhero, too. Actually, she doesn’t live in my city. But today she wanted to visit me. I waited, but I didn’t see her. I took out my mobile phone and called her:”Hi Rocketgirl, where are you?” ”I’m on the way. What’s up?“, she asked. “I need your help. Some gangsters are here and want to free all gangsters from jail”, I said. “Oh no, I’m coming!”, she said.“Ok, but be quick!” I added. A few minutes later I saw Rocketgirl she was flying towards me. “Ok, I’m here. So what’s your plan?”, she asked. . “I think I should make myself invisible and then I’ll go to the gangsters and fight with them.

You should stay here and if I say “peep” you teleport yourself to me, ok?”, I said. She answered:”Ok, nice plan, let’s go!” I got invisible and flew to the gangsters. Then I kicked and hit them. They looked at me, unbelieving, but not for a very long time. Then, one of the gangsters struck out wildly and directly hit my face. I was shocked, but I thought:”Stay strong Stargirl, stay strong!” But the pain was too strong.
I just said:”Peep ”and then I fell over and lay there. An eternity later I woke up and lay in my bed. Rocketgirl was sitting next to me and I asked: “Have you defeated the gangsters? ””What?”, Rocketgirl asked. I looked at her, surprised and said :,,The gangsters who wanted to free all gangsters from the jail.” Rocketgirl laughed and said: “You dreamed this. I wanted to visit you, but as I came into your house you were sleeping here on the floor and then I took you into your bed.” I laughed too and said :”Pooh, it was just a dream.

But if you want me to, I could tell you about it.” “Sure”, she said and we sat on my bed and I told her my exiting dream.”
