Prayer Journey ~ 40 Days

Isaiah 55:8-9 (NIV) For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. Harmony – picture at the end of this journey of seeking God. Joining together with one voice, look back and say beautiful, beautiful. Picture of DOHCC – help us be attractive to others, to have a sweet smell of the Holy Spirit, known because of our hearts for God, known because of our love, seeking after God’s own heart. Praying for people to jump on board and not to miss out on the 40 days of prayer, for this to gather momentum. Trust and thankfulness - Lord at the centre. Something amazing is brewing. Everyone will know you are disciples when you love one another <a href="https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John%2013:35&amp;version=NIV">John 13:35</a>. Keep your eyes fixed on the Lord. Unity in the Spirit. Songs: Tremble; The One You Love (Elevation); Burn the Ships (for King and Country).

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace&nbsp;as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13 (NIV)

Jesus is the glue that binds us together. With that came the picture of a wall of bricks and mortar… that the wall has been and is being dismantled and is being rebuilt on the firm foundation of Christ and He is the mortar.&nbsp; <a href="https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Jeremiah%2033:9&amp;version=NIV">Jeremiah 33:9</a> highlighted that it is the Lord’s will that Door of Hope would experience peace, joy AND prosperity - noting that as Jesus followers we often feel challenged by asking for prosperity, but He wants us to prosper.&nbsp;Prayer for our city - that as we have experienced a stormy night here, storms are the reality of our lives and we prayed that people who don’t yet know Jesus would come to know Him in the storms. Further, that people would know that the door is open to them to gain shelter from the storm. John 10:27 (NIV) My sheep listen to my voice; I know them,&nbsp;and they follow me. Mission is not primarily an activity of the Church but an attribute of God David Bosch

This got me thinking today…. I was reminded that God’s mission has been to reconcile us to himself ever since Adam and Eve hid from Him in the garden! An incredible statement Inviting us to think differently... Let’s participate with our loving and reconciling God!

Pray Always Philippians 4:4-7 (NIV) Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus

John 13:34-35&nbsp;(NIV) A new command&nbsp;I give you: Love one another.&nbsp;As I have loved you, so you must love one another.&nbsp;By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another. Unity...Praise God for the diversity in the prayer gatherings. God is waiting in the room. Prayer for persevering through the 40 days. Growth from the prayer time. Trust God for growth in our faith. Learning from the struggles of others and growing in faith. Bless the church through the prayers. May we see the needs of our congregation. Prayer for greater connection. Open our eyes to see those in need. <a href="https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2%20Chronicles%207:14-17&amp;version=NIV">2 Chronicles 7:14-17</a> - Guidance, protection, provision God is inviting us into His plans. Exciting but also difficult to follow those plans. Phillip obeyed and followed God, we need to do the same. Senior Minister, open hearts for who the next person is. Prayer for Steve and his family. Guidance from God that we are open and ready for what God is doing even if it's not what we have been used to. Prayer for acceptance of the new person and that they will be the right person for the future, especially now that we have more people joining from all over the world...

As the 40 days of prayer progresses, I feel God is teaching us precisely this… Come Close In the holy child, God comes close to us, that we might come close to God. What might this closeness be like? Perhaps a sitting with. You know what it's like to sit with one you know and love, for an hour or more, no words need to be said. Conscious of each other's presence. All becomes clear and simple. Light, love. Allow God to come close. Sit.

Reminded again today. Our God is always ENOUGH. A call to me to keep trusting and seeking only Jesus and God’s Kingdom all the time in every way. This morning at 6am prayer we prayed through <a href="https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Isaiah%2054:11-15&amp;version=NIV">Isaiah 54:11-15</a>. Also Acts 2:17“‘In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. We heard the Spirit tell us that in these days ALL will hear from the Spirit and discern His activity and will. Then a very young member of our prayer group in her tiny morning voice, shared a picture of a banquet table and that there were so many dishes you couldn’t count them. All are invited to the table!

Jesus’ yoke is easy and His burden is light. Praying we are a lighthearted people who don’t carry burdens not meant for us to carry. Matthew‬ ‭11‬:‭28‬-‭30‬ ‭NLT‬‬ Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”

Thanks for all the different ministries and ages. May we inspire each other and have real relationships and be a family. May God inspire how we act to be more like Jesus. May we see and hear what God wants for our Senior Minister and trust that you know best, not us. Thanks for the new car park, waiting to see what God's next plan will be. Thanks that God is ahead of us, that He has good plans. Thanks for provision of all things for the car park to come to be. Prayer for the salvation of those who use the car park. Seniors events, prayer for those working on that will be able to get people to help with that. May we be a church of faith. Believing for more than we could imagine. May we be a church of joy and that that would be an example of God's goodness. Thanks for the blessing of children. For God's guidance of us to be examples of God to others and especially to our families. Thanks for our leaders.

That we'll be humble, honest, and truthful as a church. We thanked God for a great hunger to seek the Lord. Such a great turnout at the Hope Rising meeting. We eagerly anticipate what God is going to do next.&nbsp; We thanked God that's He's doing something new. We have the Holy Spirit guiding us, and we don't know where God wants to lead us. We prayed that we'll 'get out of the way' and let God do his thing. Saw a picture of Jesus moving around, large crowds following him. She saw us clamering to be near Jesus, hungry to see and hear what's next. We prayed about her excitement with the 5pm service, the energy, the community, the love being shown.

Prayer for our Digital Community: “I want you to know how much I have agonized for you and for the church at Laodicea, and for many other believers&nbsp;who have never met me personally.&nbsp;I want them to be encouraged and knit together by strong ties of love. I want them to have complete confidence that they understand God’s mysterious plan, which is Christ himself. In him lie hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. I am telling you this so no one will deceive you with well-crafted arguments.&nbsp;For though I am far away from you, my heart is with you.&nbsp;And I rejoice that you are living as you should and that your faith in Christ is strong. And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness. Today, I am reminded the way to give grace to others when they mess up and their sin exposed, is to remember I mess up too. In various different ways, over and over again, I mess up. In some cases, I did the very thing they did. Just that I never got caught. ‭‭John‬ ‭8‬:‭7‬ (‭NIV)‬‬ When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.” My reading this morning focused on Peter’s denial and Jesus’ response. “Jesus didn’t even mention Peter’s denial but instead gave him a chance to reaffirm his love for Christ and take care of His&nbsp;followers (John 21:15–17). Jesus’ words before Peter disowned Him were being fulfilled: “When you have turned back, strengthen your brothers” (Luke 22:32). I too stuff up and need His mercy. Lord, help me to accept your mercy and ‘strengthen others’ with a posture of humility.&nbsp; ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭29‬:‭11‬-‭13‬ ‭(NIV‬‬) “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”

Embracing our digital community- there is much joy ahead! <a href="https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Psalm%2090:15-17&amp;version=NIV">Psalm 90:15‭-‬17</a> (NIV) Romans 10:14‭-‬15 (NIV) How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” - praying we are bearers of Good News to those who don't know God. Praying our hearts continue to break for them. <a href="https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew%207:15-20&amp;version=NIV">Matthew 7:15‭-‬20</a> (NIV) praying that we, the people of Door of Hope, to be known for our fruit. Picture taken during first light this morning. I am not a morning person, I struggle to wake up, yet I have been drawn to watch the sunrise this week. The promise of a new day, a new dawn. But this morning there was a yearning to ensure I saw first light too. Sunrise is lighter, brighter, hard to look at directly. First light is colourful, changing, It takes time, stillness, wonder and amazement. If you glance away and back again it’s different. It draws me in to keep watching and waiting. To not get distracted, to watch the light expand. In this moment of beauty, watching, waiting, growing light. First light invites me into the promise. I like first light.

We have problems when we try to force God to tell us something. We don't force a conversation, we respect, and wait, and listen Dallas Willard - Hearing God

Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) For I know the plans&nbsp;I have for you,” declares the&nbsp;Lord, “plans to prosper&nbsp;you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Dear Lord, I trust in you, you've got a plan that I may not see right now, but I believe it will all unfold the right way at the perfect time. I am leaning on you. Notes from my time with the Lord this morning- I’ve called it An Israelite reminder. <a href="https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Exodus%206:1-9&amp;version=NIV">Exodus 6:1-9 </a> Before God delivers his people through his mighty signs and wonders he returns to his covenant promises to remind Moses who his God is. God‘s Word comes before his actions and he kindly explains them. The Lord reminds his people of his past faithfulness in establishing his covenant with the past leaders in faith. He tells us that he has not forgotten the covenant that he made. The Lord declares that he will redeem them as he has said he would. It is Gods covenant that sustains us when our sin or our circumstance threaten to overcome or overwhelm us.

May we be a boat floating as a safe refuge. Bring rest, to sit and rest in the boat with Jesus. Help us to use our eyes and ears wisely. Luke 8:19 (NIV) Now Jesus’ mother and brothers came to see him, but they were not able to get near him because of the crowd. Jesus never turned away the crowd. May we be His hand and feet. Surrender all. We are promised the Kingdom if we put. Him first. Put down the appealing things of the world. Obey God's word, surrender our ambitions to be God's hands and feet. Image: us as ants, the senior pastor is the less scary first face for the community. We don't want our leader to be hidden away, they will need the support of the others at DOHCC.

Lord, may we be like a tightly woven fabric. Not a flimsy material that is easily torn, or a loosely woven fabric that can come unravelled easily.

Romans 12:2 (NASB) And do not&nbsp;be conformed to&nbsp;this&nbsp;world, but be transformed by the&nbsp;renewing of your mind, so that you may&nbsp;prove what the will of God is, that which is good and&nbsp;acceptable and perfect. Colossians 3:12-17 and <a href="https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Colossians%201:27-29&amp;version=NASB">1:27-29</a> So, as those who have been&nbsp;chosen of God, holy and beloved,&nbsp;put on a&nbsp;heart of compassion, kindness,&nbsp;humility, gentleness,&nbsp;and&nbsp;patience;&nbsp;bearing with one another, and&nbsp;forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone;&nbsp;just as the Lord forgave you, so&nbsp;must&nbsp;you&nbsp;do&nbsp;also.&nbsp;In addition to all these things&nbsp;put on&nbsp;love, which is&nbsp;the perfect bond of&nbsp;unity.&nbsp;Let&nbsp;the peace of Christ, to which you were&nbsp;indeed called in&nbsp;one body,&nbsp;rule in your hearts; and&nbsp;be thankful.&nbsp;Let&nbsp;the word of&nbsp;Christ richly dwell within you,&nbsp;with all wisdom&nbsp;teaching and admonishing&nbsp;one another&nbsp;with psalms, hymns,&nbsp;and&nbsp;spiritual songs,&nbsp;singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God.&nbsp;Whatever you do in word or deed,&nbsp;do&nbsp;everything in the name of the Lord Jesus,&nbsp;giving thanks through Him to God the Father. 1 John 4:18 (NIV) Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love.

We had a really sweet time this morning.&nbsp;The youngest participant is 6 years old. She contributed in hearing from the Lord. I asked the group for a picture or a word that describe their journey in this 40 days of prayer and here they are:&nbsp; Water well, Overwhelmed with prayer Firepot, Cleaning up Openness to God and each other Overflow, Safe Connection with God and community&nbsp; Unforgotten We also shared stories of how there wasn't an empty seat at HDK and how a little boy came and befriended a new kid. When asked why, he said, "It's hard being new." It's so good ❤️ praise the Lord!

Philippians 2:5 (TPT) And consider the example that Jesus, the Anointed One, has set before us. Let His mindset become your motivation. We prayed into the sorrow and disappointment that some folk may be experiencing and asked God for His joy to be full in each of us, that we would live His abundance, freedom and joy.&nbsp; Nehemiah 8:10 (NIV) Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” <a href="https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1%20Corinthians%201&amp;version=NLT">1 Corinthians 1</a> - Lessons on where wisdom comes from… wisdom of us verses the wisdom of God. Jesus is our wisdom. There should be no boasting that we are praying for 40 days or in any wise words we have, but we would boast only in Jesus Christ.&nbsp;

Is Jesus truly Lord of the church. It’s not enough to give Him lip service… we must surrender all our hopes, desires and plans and fully submit to His plans for the church.

Unconstrained thinking about our Senior Minister - how does it look? Open hands to receive. Openness to challenge our preconceived ideas. Thanks for forty days of prayer. Holy Spirit breath into us and bring life!!! Jeremiah 32:38 (NIV) They will be my people,&nbsp;and I will be their God. Peace that does not fade and peace that we infuse to others.

We must keep our eyes on Jesus Hebrews 12:2a (NIV) fixing our eyes on Jesus,&nbsp;the pioneer&nbsp;and perfecter of faith. Deuteronomy‬ ‭8‬:‭10‬ (‭NLT)‬‬ When you have eaten your fill, be sure to praise the Lord your God for the good land he has given you. ‭‭When we have tasted and seen that the Lord is good. Let us be sure to praise Him!

'Call&nbsp;to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable&nbsp;things you do not know.' Jeremiah 33:3

You know the future, Lord .. we don't .. but - we know the One who holds the future .. so, we TRUST you with it. <a href="https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Philippians%204:8-9&amp;version=NLT">‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4‬:‭8‬-‭9</a>‬ ‭(NLT‬‬) And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.&nbsp;Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you. Father, today I focus on these things from Philippians, in a space of simply being with you, intentionally being wrapped in relationship with you, knowing that your peace will be with me, may this posture make space to hear from you in the areas we are praying for as a church. May today be about the posture and connection we seek as we seek to hear from you. I pray Lord that as we seek you, you will continue to grow our hearts and make us more like you. Unity, vision, authenticity, knowing people, seeking a leader, it starts with the intentionality of our thoughts, emotions and behaviour - on what is true and honourable.

Psalm 133:1 (NIV) How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!

My son was reading his reader on the way to school today. It is a book about light and the sun. It spoke of how the earth is positioned just right so we don’t burn up or freeze, how the sun helps the trees grow which in turn give us oxygen. It made me think how intricately detailed and precise creation is, no doubt that there is a creator behind creation, but also through my devotions God has highlighted not only his detailed precision, but how nature is dependant on nature to survive. each part of creation fulfils a role and that creates life and balance. May we as a community give life to each other through the roles that we each have, not coveting what someone else is doing or gifting they have, but valuing all the detailed expressions of who we are in community. Pray in faith, then believe in the power of your prayer! Proverbs 3:5-6 (NLT) Trust in the&nbsp;Lord&nbsp;with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.

Dear Lord, please refresh my faith, that you are always listening to my prayers and always with me.

<a href="https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John%2017:17-24&amp;version=NIV">John 17:17-24</a> I’m not just praying for you but for all the disciples coming after you. Praying for unity. 1 Kings&nbsp;3:7-9&nbsp;MSG And now here I am: God, my God, you have made me, your servant, ruler of the kingdom in place of David my father. I’m too young for this, a mere child! I don’t know the ropes, hardly know the ‘ins’ and ‘outs’ of this job. And here I am, set down in the middle of the people you’ve chosen, a great people—far too many to ever count.&nbsp;“Here’s what I want: Give me a God-listening heart so I can lead your people well, discerning the difference between good and evil. For who on their own is capable of leading your glorious people? John 20:19-23 On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish leaders, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” After he said this, he showed them his hands and side. The disciples were overjoyed when they saw the Lord. Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” And with that he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive anyone’s sins, their sins are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.” Psalm 119:105 Your word is a lamp for my feet,&nbsp;a light on my path.

Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Father thank you that you have a plan. That we can trust in you. Thank you that you are certain of our future. Even when we feel uncertain, you know what is to come. May we not get in the way and try to force our own plans in haste. Rather, may we seek you, seek your peace about what is ahead. Seek your clarity as decisions are are made. You know not just the big vision, but the small details too. Today we trust you. Guide our leaders, guide the staff and volunteers as they perform their roles today.

My prayer today and everyday in this season of prayer. May it bless you as it has me! "But the Voice of Truth tells me a different story The Voice of Truth says, "Do not be afraid!" Lord, may our hearts be humbled so that we can hear what you are saying to us! 2 Chronicles 7:14 (NIV) If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

My first tomato finally changed colour and was ripe enough to pick today! Such a reminder to me and I thought it was worth sharing here: We can have fruit in our lives that can sit on the vine, be fully formed and stay green for what feels like forever..... but then finally it ripens and is delicious to eat - if we let it stay on the vine until that time!

Lord help us to understand your timing is different to ours, to trust in you when the fruit we see isn't ripening... to stay watered in your Spirit and word and most important abide with You! John 15:4-5 (NIV) Remain in me, as I also remain in you.&nbsp;No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit;&nbsp;apart from me you can do nothing.

He has made everything beautiful in its time.&nbsp;He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet&nbsp;no one can fathom&nbsp;what God has done from beginning to end. Ecclesiastes 3:11 (NIV)

John 12:24 (TPT) - Let me make this clear: A single grain of wheat will never be more than a single grain of wheat unless it drops into the ground and dies. Because then it sprouts and produces a great harvest of wheat—all because one grain died.

As a gathering of people we sometimes need to put to death old ways, our single grains of wheat. When we lay these things down, they can spout and grow into the new life that was pre-planned, producing a greater harvest. Last year, one of the grains of wheat I was a part of was laid down, and has "from a human perspective" died. Although I believe God hasn't finished what he wants to do - this grain will sprout and produce again, greater than before. I've heard this phrase multiple times over this 40 days season we are in: I feel laying things down helps us to make room, challenging the idea of "we have always done that" - maybe laying "that" down to make room and listen is what we need to do in this next season. Our strategic plan to have a component of "making room", and of stillness. "What we do is not who we are,&nbsp;who we are&nbsp;is who we are"

In 6am prayer this morning we had a focus on praying for the marginalised, broken, and those struggling with mental and other health difficulties. While getting breakfast ready this song came on. I have been listening to it in my play list for a while now and it always brings me great peace. I think the words are especially helpful when we encounter people who have problems that we can't 'fix' - only Jesus has the power and the love to help us through every struggle. I also love this version as it has two vocalists and to me it represents community so much more - we are not in this life alone! Kari Jobe) When it is beyond our capabilities, when it is uncertain and scary, when it's all too much for us - we can take it to Jesus! This morning in our 6am prayer time there was a thread about our heart for the poor and for the lost. I confess that so often I live in a comfortable space. <a href="https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Revelation%203:16-21&amp;version=NIV">Revelation 3:16-21</a> speaks about being “lukewarm”. Not hot and not cold - just comfortably in the middle. This is not a Kingdom space. We prayed Matthew 25:40 (NIV) “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ Reminder of God's heart. There are new people every day slipping into this category of being poor/lost. The gap is getting wider between rich and poor.

We all have hands&nbsp;to reach out in some way to support those struggling. How challenging and beautiful. A challenge we must embrace!

As we are are nearing the end of our 40 days of prayer Lord, may you give us peace, greater understanding, greater wisdom moving forward as a unified body of Christ, into what you have called our church DOHCC to be. Lord, I trust you, I believe you, you finish what you start, I trust you in the process, in Jesus name, amen. ‭‭Philippians‬ ‭1:6‬ (TPT) “I pray with great faith for you, because I’m fully convinced that the One who began this gracious work in you will faithfully continue the process of maturing you until the unveiling of our Lord Jesus Christ!” ‭Thanks for God's plans, may all of the thoughts for our Senior Minister be able to be sifted with wisdom. Thanks for the blessing of so many talented people in our church. Prayer for digital community and thanks for the provision of people to serve in that way and the means to do it. May we be attractive as God's church because of how we love each other through knowing each other and being authentic in our love for each other. Let us not take it for granted. Safety over the kids in DOHCC and in their homes and the street.&nbsp;May they see God as the protector of their safety. No empty seats in HDK. Thank you that our Kids are hearing from you, forgive us when we expect them to be following you only when they are adults. Help us to KNOW our kids and elderly. Thank you for our disabled, and visions of an angel protecting family. If only we take time to listen.&nbsp;May we be a community that listens. Pray for the Staff in DOH/LCC. 1 John 5:14-15 (NIV) This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us - whatever we ask-we know that we have what we asked of Him.

Making our church vision and mission our own personal vision and mission, living it out in our own lives. The community needs us more than ever as the world becomes increasingly fragile and uncertain.

God's not done, He promises completion of His work through DOHCC. God will provide for his people, He knows their needs. God's taking us on a journey, we've been around a long time in Launceston and this current season is just another part of that journey. Open our hearts and minds for new opportunities, that we'll embrace the new. We saw a bright future for DOHCC, full of God's favour where we'll be constantly restocking our free bible shelf because so many people are coming, seeking God. We prayed that we'd capture the urgency of our mission at DOHCC.

People often comment that DOHCC has a 'feel' to it. Something's different (in a good way). We prayed that we'll use our opportunities to Love others and show them God's love. In a world where love is confusing and we're confronted with so many agendas we pray for authentic love, love that's unashamed and not afraid to correct when needed but to be a genuine reflection of God's love.

Numbers 9:15‭-‬18 (NLT) On the day the Tabernacle was set up, the cloud covered it. But from evening until morning the cloud over the Tabernacle looked like a pillar of fire. This was the regular pattern—at night the cloud that covered the Tabernacle had the appearance of fire. Whenever the cloud lifted from over the sacred tent, the people of Israel would break camp and follow it. And wherever the cloud settled, the people of Israel would set up camp. In this way, they travelled and camped at the Lord’s command wherever he told them to go. Then they remained in their camp as long as the cloud stayed over the Tabernacle. Whether staying or moving, God's invitation is the same; to be with Him. Jesus invites us into difficult things for Him and He set us an example through His life. We do not live by bread alone but by every word that comes from His mouth. The Word is our joy. These 40 days... - gives me great joy in the morning. I usually get up early and pray. This unity! I get to sit here and other people are praying what I prayed. I got to know the people here I didn't used to know before. Puts a smile on my face at the beginning of the day. -a glimpse of heaven, being together with community and with God.

Thanks for the unity that has grown through the 40 days of prayer. Remind us that you are the leader of our church. May we be shining lights in our relationships and everywhere we go. Thanks for the outreach ministries that we can use these to shine a light of who you are. No preconceived ideas of what we want, but God's will. Thanks for the hearts of the youth to want to serve you. Thanks for Alpha and how it helps to find out about the Bible and God. Thanks for those who participate in Alpha, may it go from strength to strength. That it would bring many more to Christ. May we invite and do Alpha with others. Come and find out about Jesus. This is the mission that God has us on. Blessings on the Easter service. Prayer for those who have not been for a while or at all that they would know what you have done. Praise God for the many cultures that are coming to DOHCC. Break down barriers. A house of prayer for all nations. Influence our music.

Prayer for leadership retreat today that they would be refreshed, united, have vision, excitement, ideas, dreams, for this new season. Leaders make decisions and programs with wisdom. Seeking God on understanding the picture of the uprooted tree with its roots being pruned. Isaiah‬ ‭41:19‬ ‭NLT‬‬ declares, “I will plant trees in the barren desert— cedar, acacia, myrtle, olive, cypress, fir, and pine.” One of the creative miracles found in Isaiah‬ ‭41:19‬ is that God will cause you to thrive and flourish even in the wilderness. He will nourish the ground of your heart even in the desert. When you choose to obey God — He will give you everything that you need in order to succeed. Choose to obey God and He will cause you to flourish — no matter your environment. There is no limit in Him.

Every tree, every gift, every talent, every ability, everything that God plants was designed to give Him Glory. There is space for you to flourish. There is room for you to thrive. There is no competition in Christ. Choose to obey God, align your steps with His Word and He will cause you to succeed. He will cause you to bring forth fruit — even in the wilderness... today I was reading about the importance of the wilderness - and that God isn't in the business of shortcuts like we often want, because He knows what we are capable of and He wants to protect us! <a href="https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Exodus%2013:17-18&amp;version=NIV">Exodus 13:17-18 </a>(NIV)

Connection – family, work and sharing. Connection is happening! Praise for Him connecting others to us, and to each other through this process. Senior minister – what and who comes next, requests for direction and to raise up the person/people that He has in mind. Again, a picture of unity and cohesion ‘side by side’. Thankyou for the 40 days. Clarity and wisdom and provision. Thankyou that we've stopped. Praying that&nbsp;we won't rush ahead of you. Rather keeping pace with you. Not an end but a beginning. Pray that the changes in us would continue&nbsp;. Noah in ark - a picture. Noah means rest and comfort. Noah in ark in midst of rising waters.&nbsp;&nbsp;Noah in ark in a place of rest, even if waters were throwing them around. We are in Christ, covered by rest and comfort even in difficult times.&nbsp; Smooth ride from now on is not promised, we should expect discomfort, but we are safe and one day the waters will recede. Solomon's prayer - give me an understanding of heart so I can govern well. We ask for wisdom. We ask for Jesus. Thankyou for the community in this 40 days. Jeremiah 29:12-14 (NIV) Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you,” Prayed specifically for the digital community especially the evening service. God has the ultimate algorithm, greater than any tech. Help us not to be so attached to the old that we can't handle the new thing.

We would like to express our sincere thanks to everyone who volunteered to facilitate a prayer session. We appreciate the DOHCC family for engaging and obediently sharing what God has been placing on our hearts. What an incredible exercise of our faith. It has been encouraging to hear of the many personal goals also set within the 40 Days of Prayer. Let’s continue to lean in and trust in God, in all that He has for Door of Hope Christian Church.

Our new senior leader will have the unique gifting that DOHCC will require in this next season. 1 Timothy 2:1-4 I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone- for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our saviour, who wants&nbsp;all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. 1 Corinthians 10:31-11:1 So weather you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. Do not cause anyone to stumble, whether Jews, Greeks or the church of God- even as I try to please everybody in every way. For I am not seeking my own good but the good of many, so that they may be saved. Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.

The Lord gives every gifting required for His church to be a spotless bride.

Saw a picture of a big door opening in a dark room with a bright light shining behind it. May we shine light into the darkness. Isaiah 43:19 (NIV) See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. Narrow is the path but wide is the door. How good and pleasant is the life that follows the Lord. That we will be 'Pleasant' to our community. People need the Lord, things may go wrong, we may make mistakes, but we need to be there for them in those times. Saw the old logo of Door of Hope, during prayer. We used to have a narrow focus. Hope is broader than that. Whatever is needed for a person in their journey. We need to do more than just get them in the door. Readings from Ephesians, mountain top experiences. <a href="https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Ephesians%206:10-20&amp;version=NIV">The armour of God</a>. Prayed this reading over DOHCC. Reminded about the vine and the pruning, it sometimes hurts, but it's ok, there's a bigger purpose. Prayed that even though the 40 days is over, that our prayer journey won't, prayed a prayer of protection over DOHCC and all connected to it. The gates of hell won't prevail against the Lord and His people.

This morning in our prayer time we were talking about truly seeing people. May we see beyond the outward appearance (either positive or negative) of clothes, status, possessions, behaviour etc, to the true heart of people, to what is driving them, what experiences they have had that has lead them thus far in life, who they are as a person. Let us see their heart as God sees them.

1 Samuel 16:7 (NIV) But the&nbsp;Lord&nbsp;said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The&nbsp;Lord&nbsp;does not look at the things people look at. “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah‬&nbsp;‭55‬:‭8‬-‭9‬&nbsp;‭(NIV‬‬)

I've been lead to this over the past few days, it may be encouraging for someone. Philippians 4:1 Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stay true to the Lord, I love you and long to see you, dear friends, for you are my joy and the crown I receive for my work. He loves us, we are seen, he knows our hearts and our burdens, that we sometimes carry alone. Our prayers are heard. v7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Matthew 6:10 (NKJV) Your kingdom come. Your will be done. On earth&nbsp;as&nbsp;it is&nbsp;in heaven. I love this, how good is our God: ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭55‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭(EASY‬‬) Listen! All of you who are thirsty, come here for water to drink! You may have no money, but come here and buy food to eat! Come and buy wine and milk! You do not need to pay any money. It is free! Do not spend money on anything that is not real food. You work hard for your money, so do not spend it on things which do not help you. Listen carefully to me. Eat something that will make you strong! Enjoy the best food!

Philippians 1:9 (NLT) I pray that your love will overflow more and more, and that you will keep on growing in knowledge and understanding. Joshua 1:9 (NIV) Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid, do not be discouraged. For the lord your God will be with you wherever you go. <a href="https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Zechariah%204:6-10&amp;version=NIV">Zechariah 4:6-10</a> (NLT) Hebrews 13:5 (NLT) Don’t love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, “I will never fail you.&nbsp;I will never abandon you.” Revelation 1:8 (NLT) “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end,” says the Lord God. “I am the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come, the Almighty One.”

Be patient in the process, wait, don’t hurry and at the end we will be able to say “beautiful, beautiful”.

Prayer time whilst out walking in God’s beautiful creation

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Be humble, keep praying and He will not let us down, He will provide not only the answers to these three questions, but provide us with so much more.

Unity - Praise for our safety in all we do. God is always here and will always be here. Alpha and Omega. Your love endures forever. <a href="https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Psalm%208&amp;version=NIV">Psalm 8</a> - The stars are incomprehensible. God made everything and we are so tiny, nothing in comparison, but we are something to God, we are love by Him! <a href="https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Psalm%2090&amp;version=NIV">Psalm 90</a> - Establish the work of our hands. We don't have to start from nothing. A Senior Minister will be a gift. We know the voice of the shepherd. <a href="https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John%2010:14-16&amp;version=NIV">John 10:14-16</a>, let us know the Father's voice as we unwrap the gift. May we not reject the gift of who they are. May we not just accept the first person who comes along, but be wise. Make room for what God is showing us for this season. <a href="https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew%2028:18-20&amp;version=NIV">Matthew 28:18-20</a>, all authority in heaven and on earth... Reminder that we get to take part in baptism, May we live lives that seek to disciple others. Look for people to disciple. Thanks for the baptism last week, renew and strengthen her. Thanks for baptism and the witness it is. Stir others to get baptised. Come under God's Authority. Follow the guidance that Jesus has given us to do, what He left for us to do. God is always on time. God will guide us in his light, we will not be left in the dark. Don't hold back our expression to God, cry out in every emotion.

Isaiah 61:1-2 (NIV) The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the broken-hearted to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour and the day of vengeance of our God to comfort all who mourn. Isaiah 61:3 (NIV) They will be called Oaks of Righteousness, a planting of the Lord, for the display of His splendour. Brokenness to be restored God’s goodness, Extend your Kingdom Faith filled decisions to be made Miraculous innovation Make room for what God wants to do, imagine, dream, vision No constraints, culture of collaboration and innovation, courage to try new things, to make mistakes, to learn A picture came to me yesterday. It was about SEEKING people, finding them under rocks in a field. God picked up the first, but as people who God has grown, we now need to do His work of uncovering the lost. He will develop them, and together the field will be made ready for planting.

I have called you by name, we are KNOWN by God

Isaiah 43:18-21 (NIV) Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. The wild animals honor me, the jackals and the owls, because I provide water in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland, to give drink to my people, my chosen, the people I formed for myself that they may proclaim my praise.

Philippians 1:9-11 (NIV) And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God.

I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me. John 10:14 (NIV)

Seek God first and His Kingdom. Prayer for Elders and leaders as they start to meet again for the year, be with them, give them wisdom. Give us a hunger that we would ask for what Your heart wants. Seek Your Kingdom first. We don’t seek a New Senior Minister out of selfish desire as did the Israelites seek a King. We see you God as our King and lead and guide. Do we seek a New Senior Minister or do we seek a new… Do you have something new for us Lord? God has been faith in the past and will so in the future. Be a needy plant. The only plants I have managed to keep are hardy ones like succulents. Don’t be like them. In our relationship with the Lord, be needy, like needy plants needing water all the time, needing attention all the time. As the deer/plant pants for the water, so my soul longs for you. Be thirsty, hungry, needy for God. His Spirit like water to my soul, His word like daily bread, His presence like the air we breathe. Be needy…of God. One thing - even hardy plants die eventually without water.

"No movement of God has been started or sustained without focused, faithful and fervent prayer."

As we enter the last leg of our 40 days of prayer, fatigue may be setting in. As Dani mentioned, we may be entering the stage where it’s getting a bit hard. Brothers and sisters, let’s keep going! ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭12‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭(NLT‬‬) Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith... This reminds me of the theme we have been seeing over the last few weeks. Lord keep us woven into your cloak.

<a href="https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Galatians%206:1-10&amp;version=ESV">Galatians 6:1-10</a> (ESV) Prayer for the recovery course. Psalm 34:8 Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!

Jeremiah 29:12-14 (NIV) Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back from captivity. 1 Corinthians 3:16 (NIV) Don’t you realise that all of you together are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God lives in&nbsp;you? 1 Corinthians 4:20 (NIV) For the Kingdom of God is not just a lot of talk; it is living by God’s power. Isaiah 30:15a (NIV) &nbsp;This is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Israel, says: “In repentance and rest is your salvation,&nbsp;in quietness and trust is your strength,” God is a God who makes Himself known. We are so grateful we get to see &amp; experience you God. It’s not about digital or not, it is about community.

Authentic connection regardless of whether we are meeting in-person or online. Serving in obedience, not out of duty, but out of love.

God gave me a picture of JOY. A dull brick wall given life because of the Joy that Jesus can bring. Joy amongst our ordinary, broken lives, joy that communicates the LIFE we can have in Jesus. May Door of Hope be this EXPLOSION of joy in our community.

Father, Thank you for a brand new day. Thank you for the fresh revelations you have in store for us to discover more of who you are. Heavenly Father, I pray your Holy Spirit will be with us today in all that we do. Heavenly father purify our hearts, make room in our minds to hear your voice.

Breakdown the walls of stubbornness, bitterness, un-forgiveness and father let our minds be renewed by your word. Father I pray being a Door of Hope doesn't just remain for when we are in the building, but everywhere we are and in everything we do, say and act. I pray all this in Jesus name amen.

We need to feel free to pray and praise. Mediate on new ways, we can be a Door of Hope.&nbsp;Praise God as we are already seeing answers to prayer - unity in seeking God. We are looking to God - not our thoughts and ideas. <a href="https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Psalm%2027&amp;version=NIV">Psalm 27</a> seek God; Wait for the Lord; Your will be done. Keep our eyes fixed on God. Request unity in our church. Walk towards where you are calling us. Your fruit of the spirit flowing through us. Be innovative and creative in our ministry - we are your hands and feet. Joy - <a href="https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Romans%205&amp;version=NIV">Romans 5:1</a> peace - undeserved privilege.&nbsp;Trials help develop endurance, not disappointment. Holy Spirit to fill our hearts. Joy despite current situation. Peace and joyful community. A community that enjoys doing life together. Privilege of gift of the Holy Spirit. Pray for unity, direction and confidence. God is moving in our hearts/church. Refocus on God. Thank you for the technology - equipment, skills and blessing you have provided our church with. Wisdom in engagement in our church community. Praise for differences, ideas, ways of living - unity - listen to each other. Listening to the quieter voices. Authenticity of each one. Love is patient, kind does not envy, is not proud. Continue to seek, protected by God's love, find peace and joy.

Romans‬ ‭14‬:‭17‬-‭19‬ ‭(NLT) “For the Kingdom of God is not a matter of what we eat or drink, but of living a life of goodness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. If you serve Christ with this attitude, you will please God, and others will approve of you, too. So then, let us aim for harmony in the church and try to build each other up.” ‭‭ What stands out for me is attitude - what attitude do I have towards Jesus, Myself, Others. What attitude do I have toward the world. What am I focused on, what do I nit pick about when God has called us all to be different and do things differently. When we come together with the same attitude towards Christ the different ways we come is irrelevant - or more so they are beautiful creating a deep picture of diversity and love. May my attitude be of Christs. May we as a church community aim for harmony, building each person up.

I am in them and you are in me. May they experience such perfect unity that the world will know that you sent me and that you love them as much as you love me. ‭‭John‬ ‭17‬:‭23‬

Titus - Jesus you laid down your life for us - the love you showed. <a href="https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1%20Thessalonians%201:2&amp;version=NIV">1 Thessalonians 1:2 </a> Vision of: Opening the hampers (treasure box) of spiritual truth to meet hunger. Give people of our nation hunger for truth, give us passion to fill the boxes with spiritual truth/ your word. Boxes full of good stuff.

God is putting a song in our hearts, God has big shoulders he can carry us, We don’t have to hide from him, he knows us intimately. Be who he has created us to be. Sunrise, new light, new day, gift. A sunrise takes time to emerge, it's not instant, however if you look away you will miss it. Matthew 5:6 (NIV) Jesus says, Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. Isaiah 55:2-3 (NIV) Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labour on what does not satisfy? Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good, and you will delight in the richest of fare. Give ear and come to me; listen, that you may live. I will make an everlasting covenant with you, my faithful love promised to David. Jeremiah 29:11-14 (NIV) For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back from captivity.[a] I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile.” &nbsp; Words Yearning = desire and action, Stillness, Stopping

Isaiah 61:1&nbsp;(ESV) The Spirit of the Lord&nbsp;God&nbsp;is upon me, because the&nbsp;Lord&nbsp;has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; Matthew 9:35-38 (ESV) The Harvest Is Plentiful, the Laborers Few And Jesus went throughout all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction.&nbsp;When he saw the crowds,&nbsp;he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless,&nbsp;like sheep without a shepherd.&nbsp;Then he said to his disciples,&nbsp;“The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few;&nbsp;therefore&nbsp;pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to&nbsp;send out laborers into his harvest.” Praise for the prayer FB group. The sharing that is happening, the testimonies, the community of authentic encouragement and stories. Prayer for brothers who have begun attending undone and the older ones health.

Help us to take the time to listen to others and really know them.

God really is forming a beautiful thing here church fam. I keep thinking about the analogy of Him weaving us together and have been asking Him to reveal more of what He is doing there. I feel He has already revealed a new ‘landscape tapestry’ for us to start noticing. I saw glimses of this at Hope Camp and even before, particularly in this digital space. Through conversations and on here, I am also noticing the way the Holy spirit is gently guiding each thread of the tapestry, each of our hearts individually - the young and old, as He carefully crafts His design in ways that only He can. As He continues to weave and strengthen our connections as a church family, He is doing new things in and for us all individually behind the scenes too. He wants to intimately meet each of us, whoever we are, wherever we are at. No comparison. No hierarchy. No one hidden. All are seen. Every thread is important in this tapestry. I feel He wants to remind us each again of our own unique ‘make up’ and our individual spiritual gifts. Remind each of us that our individual weave in this beautiful tapestry is as valued as another and that we are ALL included in the plans He has for our church fam.

You are the Living Water, and you are the Bread of Life  - you are everything we need.

Jesus - you already know who the Senior Minister will be. You have set the direction - and it is good.

I pray for the momentum of these times of prayer, that there will be so many people joining in prayer, we would have to use the chat to put all the prayers in.

On a walk this morning… we are just starting on this journey Together. The 40 days stretches out before us and who knows what God will say on the way. Really glad to walk this road together.

Continuing on with our thread this morning, I read this in Romans 10:13-16 (NIRV): Scripture says, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Joel 2:32) How can they call on him unless they believe in him? How can they believe in him unless they hear about him? How can they hear about him unless someone preaches to them? And how can anyone preach without being sent? It is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” (Isaiah 52:7) May we be people who share the love of God to all of those we come across today. ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭119‬:‭1‬ ‭(NLT‬‬) “Joyful are people of integrity, who follow the instructions of the Lord.” For integrity you can use authenticity. May Hope Camp be a time of joy, fun, laughter and knowing. I often read, sing, pray, contemplate, to try and grasp something of God. I realise now that I should also read, sing, pray, contemplate, to allow myself to be grasped by the Almighty. Importance of waiting and trusting in God’s faithfulness to fulfil what He has promised. <a href="https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Romans%2012:12&amp;version=NIV">Romans 12:12</a> (NIV); <a href="https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Psalm%2050:7-15&amp;version=NIV">Psalm 50:7-15</a> (NIV) No bull just thankfulness

Story of picking berries - It takes time to pick the good berries, this may take a good length of time. We pick them for their shape, their colour, their texture, their size, the process might take a while but its okay if we want to get the best. Praying for unity in what God is showing us, see the picture God is painting. Speak not just to the leaders but to all of us. Stop, pause, rest, don’t need to rush. God has a future planned for us. Enjoy the view, don’t try to force the results.

Open and willing to meander and ponder, study God and his direction. Timing of church camp in the context of 40 days, prayer for a rich time, deeper relationships&nbsp;with each other and God and knowing people, embracing authenticity, preparing hearts for God. Fear, keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus. See past our circumstances, eyes steady on Him. Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Humility, a topic Paul spoke of in this popular letter to the Philippians. Philippians 2:5-8 (NIV) In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death — even death on a cross! Lord, help us to be humble, to be good listeners, in our dealings with one another as we strive to know people, be authentic and reach others outside our church walls.

Thinking and praying about the season we are in - this song has been rolling around in my head for a week or so now. "It won't always move the mountain, But it's good for the heart, That's the thing about praise, You'll never know what it's gonna change, But it'll always leave a mark, That's the thing about praise" We don't know what these 40 days will do for His Kingdom, but He does - so we've just got to praise Him anyway.

We prayed for unity in the church, that we'll each embrace other generations. We prayed for opportunity at Hope Camp to cross barriers of age, gender, click groups etc. and be a real unifying event. We prayed also for God's fragrance to be over camp. that His fragrance will touch those that may be reluctant and be lead to come. We prayed a blessing over the baptism at camp, that it'll be an inspiration for others to step out in faith, and I prayed a covering over the family for an amazing experience for them together. We prayed that we'll touch the community around us through the way we conduct ourselves, the way we share, the way we welcome. We prayed a blessing over our future senior leaders, that their family will be together in unity going forward. We prayed about <a href="https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew%209:16-17,Matthew%209:35-37&amp;version=NIV">Matthew 9:16-17</a>, <a href="https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew%209:35-37&amp;version=NIV">35-37</a>, the workers are ready, we have the people, lets go to work. <a href="https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2%20Corinthians%205:11&amp;version=NIV">2 Corinthians 5:11</a> (NIV) See people as Christ sees them. <a href="https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Exodus%204:10&amp;version=NIV">Exodus 4:10</a> (NIV) Moses didn't feel worthy or prepared but God lead him.

I see strength in our community continuing to build in authenticity. A strong team of Christ followers, continuing their willingness of obedience and taking ownership of the part He has for each of us to play in the body of Christ. I stumbled across this beautiful song yesterday. lt caught my attention and I loved the personal reflection of how God has been tending to my own heart this past year. I particularly love the last part of the song… I hope others find it encouraging too. Let us focus on being made like Jesus's, clothed with Jesus. Help us be authentic. Grant us joy of seeing harvest. Pray for revival in Launceston. Your Spirit is in us, let us know and experience that. Have your way Lord. Help us to keep our eyes on the goal - sharing you with others and knowing you. Fulfil your Great Commission, in your way. May camp opportunities and connections be authentic, not be driven by lack of time and other commitments. Pray for connection, particularly those who feel unseen - may they have opportunities to connect.&nbsp; Remove natural barriers between generations.&nbsp;Build on relationships. Pray for elders and leaders, bearing extra responsibilities. Encourage them. Thanks that you call us individually by name. Thankyou. Sense that God wants people coming through our building. Prepare us to be harvest workers. Fill our young people with passion, power, be beacons full of your Holy Spirit - help and encourage them. May we all be filled with power from on high. We are Christ's body, being His hands, feet... God is leading us - let's be sensitive to the Holy Spirit.&nbsp;Be ready for a harvest. Prepare us for a harvest from the online community and visitors to the building; work through us to be people who love - learn hospitality&nbsp;to other cultures,&nbsp;step out of our comfort zone. Keep us vigilant into the future, after 40 days is over, to continue in prayer and "show up" in meeting God.

I sense God calling us to move closer to Him, trusting and obeying His goodness and His provision.

Sit and wait on God. This is a season of revelation and truth. We have been more humble in hearing from God. We pray with people we don’t normally pray with. Out of a season of hardship. Be the gardener of my heart.&nbsp;God has been pruning through the 40 days. DOHCC is fertile soil, ready for planting.&nbsp;New growth, ministries in the garden.&nbsp;May we all grow well in this soil. God's provision for the Senior Minister.&nbsp;We trust God.&nbsp;That we will be truly supportive of them.&nbsp;We trust God for the Elders to see the open and closed doors in their selection. God has already selected that new team member and we pray that we will run into this next phase. Digital community.&nbsp;That we will spread DOHCC to those in the world. Help us to be watered by the Spirit.&nbsp;God has helped us to look to God for leadership. Build us all up to talk to our neighbours and share about God. All these people watching the services online.&nbsp;Draw them in to the Lord. May the people online receive the same blessing and Spirit as when they come in person to the church.&nbsp;A Door of Hope Online. Heart for friends that received tragic news.&nbsp;Especially for those that are struggling but without the Lord.&nbsp;Give us a heart for them. Break our heart for what breaks Yours.&nbsp;Help us to stop and hear people’s stories.

Wait on the Lord. Give us patience.&nbsp;At the end of 40 days we may still have to wait. Guide our leaders and elders. Give them wisdom and guidance. Prepare the person/persons for this role - may they know it's your will when invited to come. Equip them with skills to fill the gaps we have. Give thanks for opportunities to build communities and relationships - especially at church camp this weekend.&nbsp; Help us to serve with hearts of love and gratitude. Teach us to help others. More awareness of our digital community and what that could look like. Thanks for the couple who shared in last week's service, may you lead them as to what their online ministry might be. Equip them with the skills and opportunities. Keep us joyful as we wait on you. Keep us aware of the needs of those around us.

Wait. Help us not grow weary and to keep our eyes focussed on you.

We prayed for more Jesus conversations as a result of 40 Days of Prayer. Conversations with young people for unity between the generations. <a href="https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew%2018&amp;version=NLT">Matthew 18</a> (NLT) - a plan for living well and in unity with others. We prayed against the trap of going “good things’” rather than “your things”. Proverbs 16:9 (NIV) In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps. Psalm 34:8 (NLT) Taste and see that the Lord is good. Oh the joys of those who take refuge in him!

A tree was uprooted, and the large established tree was being tended to.  The gardener was tending to he roots, cutting back, cleaning and pruning.

Learn to lean on each other. Loose our culture of being independent.&nbsp;Reaching out for those that need help.&nbsp;Find the balance. The vulnerable are drawn to the vulnerable. The strong group with the strong, weak with the weak.&nbsp;Not God’s intention. Help us to not be clicky and be with the weak/the strong. Even if a branch is going well, that the branch God is pruning so it can bear more fruit. From my reading today - about the body, fruit, the vine and God knowing each one of us although we are so numerous! Spend a moment acknowledging that you are where you are for such a time as this. Ask God what role He wants you to play in the building of His Kingdom, and don’t fear His response. If you find that He is calling you to something that everything inside of you is wanting to fight, reach out to a pastor (or elder) ASAP. - not sure how it would be to get up early as a family for prayer (two young children included) and still getting ready for work and school. But in the mornings when we do, things work so much better. - a picture of a desert but underneath, there is water and roots and its own microclimate. Psalms 1:2‭-‬3 (NLT) But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night. They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do. - a little girl saw a TV screen with lots of boxes, with families on them! Like a zoom call prayer (this was when they were the only family on the screen before the other children joined) - helped me create good rhythms, to seek God in the morning and see the sunrise. To connect with God the first thing in the morning.

We prayer for more people to come to the prayer times and for unity in prayer. To get to know the stranger, hear stories. Who can defeat the evil world? Those who know you.&nbsp;We are known for our faith. Waiting on God. <a href="https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Hebrews%206:18-19&amp;version=NIV">Hebrews 6:18-19</a> Reaching beyond the physical building through technologies.&nbsp; Bringing the Body of Christ together.&nbsp;

“Fragrance”: For we are to God the pleasing aroma&nbsp;of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing 2 Corinthians 2:15 (NIV) Christians are the aroma of God in our world.

God is our oasis. This morning’s reading for me included these verses…We are familiar with verse 11, but not so much 12 and 13. But they are worthy of remembering too. Love the word ‘wholeheartedly’ - fully devoted, without distraction, focused and undeterred. ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭29‬:‭11‬-‭13‬ (‭NLT)‬‬ “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.” We had such an great final 6am prayer time this morning...that we decided NOT to make it our final prayer time! We will continue to zoom (<a href="https://us02web.zoom.us/j/3231955797?pwd=cDB5OWJSR0dvazBuY2NTVjNleHQ3QT09">same link</a>) at 6am on Wednesday mornings - to encourage each other, lift our Door of Hope Community in prayer, and to continue to listen to what the Lord is saying to us. The visible unity of believers is the greatest form of evangelism. One of our lovely senior Door of Hope Community gave me a page from her devotional book last week, God had been speaking to her about unity and sharing the gospel. When Jesus prayed in John 17… There is one thing more Jesus prays - something I think we should acknowledge is quite surprising; “that the world may believe that you have sent me”. It is the unity of believers, Jesus says, that will convince men and women of His mission to this world. The visible unity of believers is, then, the greatest form of evangelism. What a challenge this is to the groundless and often bitter divisions among Christians. How wonderful it is to see believers united, not so much within their denominations, but in Christ. And how sad it is when that unity is not present.

Lord God, how Your heart must be grieved by the divisions evident among us. And how we hinder Your plans and purposes by our fragmentation. Forgive us, renew us, and unite us. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

I have been reading through judges of late and this phrase is repeated often “In those days Israel had no king; all the people did whatever seemed right in their own eyes.” ‭‭Judges‬ ‭21‬:‭25‬ ‭NLT‬‬ Father, I pray for our church leadership. That you would appoint our church leader. Equip them to lead us to do what is right in your eyes. In the meantime, may we grow in unity as a Door of Hope community, confirming your voice to each of us with shared words and confirmed pictures.

God is defending you in battles, you don't even know about!

Thank you that you are bringing people to yourself. Help us to know the people you are bringing and become aware of their needs. That we can communicate you are the one who meets their needs. Praise for our kids who are so welcoming and have no problems meeting new people. May we learn from them. Would we have the same level of excitement and passion as the kids. Give us eyes to see people, that we would be sensitive to your Spirit. Teach us to love those who may be difficult and the communities - LGBTQIA+ Remind us of who you are. The voice of culture can be loud. Would your voice be louder. Would our love go far beyond the four walls. Place on our hearts that there is no unlovely people, and there are no unredeemable people.&nbsp; Would we be open to minister to everyone. Would we be loving of our online community, in the way we respond and engage. Give us wisdom. Grace for those who oppose us and your message. Growth in the Muslim community. Give us a heart for all people. Would you open the door to the Muslim community.

Would we loosen our grip on perfection, as we embrace authenticity. Everyone has a part to play in seeing the vision, mission, strategy grow in momentum.

God has heard our prayers, now we are to wait upon his timing. Yes, we wait patiently. Psalm 46:10 “Be still and know that I am God”.

Putting off the old - Praying for those who are clinging to the old ways&nbsp;- Embracing the new Faithfulness of people who are praying – let us continue to meet together <a href="https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1%20Thessalonians%205:16-22&amp;version=NIV">1 Thessalonians 5:16-22</a> Be joyful, never stop praying, be thankful, hold on to what is good.&nbsp;Increase the temperature of our prayer life, not just individually, but also as a community. <a href="https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Proverbs%203:5-6&amp;version=NIV">Proverbs 3:5-6</a> We will trust in you with all our heart, Lean not on our own understanding, not just individually but also a community. Privilege of praying together, getting to know each other heart to heart as well as face to face God has given us a collective assurance, awakening us to the incredible possibilities to make disciples Praying for those who have been on the fringe of 40 Days of Prayer to feel safe enough to join in.

Luke 12:32 “Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom.” In amongst some wonderful words of encouragement from Jesus in this chapter of Luke, these words from verse 32 stand out to me. Do not be afraid Little flock Your Father Has been pleased To give you The KINGDOM We worship a good God!

Now I see this as a reminder of how we should continually take our hearts to God‘s covenant promises, especially in the midst of our own struggle, doubt or sin. We have been united to Christ, and his work of grace in our life has assured our eternity. Securing eternal love from the heavenly father in spite of our failure. We are redeemed. Hallelujah! Unity is not uniformity... Oneness is not sameness...

Unity doesn't mean uniformity. You don't want an orchestra made up of only tubas. The more instruments, the more beautiful the music. It's all about harmonizing, not homogenizing. That's why "colorblind" is not the answer... God wants us to see color and culture, and to celebrate the uniqueness of every person. Diversity is divine. My reading and prayer today. May our God equip us DOHCC with everything good to be and do what we are called to be and do. Amen.” ‭‭Philippians‬ ‭3‬:‭10‬ ‭(NLT) “I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised him from the dead. I want to suffer with him, sharing in his death,” Just wanted to share an experience from the Holy Spirit today. This morning , while driving to camp the song, I Speak the name of Jesus, came on the radio and it was about the time that church would have been going on at camp. I saw yesterday that was one of the songs that was on the worship list today and I just said Thankyou Jesus. He is in control and how POWERFUL the name of Jesus is. We speak JESUS over our church ‬‬

The tree is like the Church, many different colours, shapes, different roles, working as one reaching out to our creator.

Good morning Heavenly Father, We praise and thank you for another day you have created. You are great and mighty. May your name be forever praised amongst the nations. Father, we pray you provide us with what we need for the day ahead according to your plans for our lives. I pray we will rejoice and be glad in it. Father, may we be in tune with your timing in all that we do today. Father, we pray and lift up the hurting amongst us, father we pray your Holy Spirit the comforter will be with them. Father, we pray for the single mums and dads in our community, Father, we pray you will open our eyes to see them and be the community they need. Father, we pray for our leaders, both in the churches and government, father give them the wisdom and understanding to lead and govern, in a way that honours you. Father, hear our prayer from your throne of grace this morning. In Jesus name, amen.

Acts 12:5(b) ...but the Church was earnestly praying for him (Peter) Acts 12:24 The word of God continued to increase and spread.

We have a strong sense of the 40 days being a time of recommitment and surrender for our congregation individually as well as a community, leading to individual and communal growth.

A basket gains strength as the loose ends are woven in. If the loose ends of a piece of knitting are cut off, the garment unravels. I have been challenged to actively weave in the loose ends within our community; the people in the outer, for their sake as well as ours. It is awkward and uncomfortable but not negotiable. It is also not just the responsibility of the loose ends. They don’t have to find their own way in. The ends are taken in hand and guided to a place through a series of interactions. Over and under, over and under. As we head to camp, let’s thing about taking extra chairs, creating doors, making communal spaces accessible, welcoming smiles, extra snacks, collecting people and walking with them to gatherings. How beautiful!!! May we all consider this not just at camp but every Sunday (and everyday) to look out for and care for those on the outer… God spoke to me about this very thing last year and I have been endeavouring to do it&nbsp;every Sunday church service and in my everyday throughout my life since! I've always seen myself like a spoke, one hand connected in at church, the other reaching out to those not connected. I understand how it can feel to be on the fringe.

<a href="https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Psalm%2034&amp;version=NIV">Psalm 34</a> has really resonated with me the last few days and reflects our prayer time this morning. I will always thank the Lord; I will never stop praising him. I will praise him for what he has done; may all who are oppressed listen and be glad! Proclaim with me the Lord's greatness; let us praise his name together! Thanksgiving, unity and community. Darkness and suffering - we don’t cover over it and pretend it’s all good, but we acknowledge it and deal with it. We acknowledge the darkness and bad things in our hearts and invite God in, allowing God to prune us. Themes: His way are higher than our ways/thoughts His yoke is easy and His burden light We can overcomplicate things We need to allow Him to fulfil our desires even if it looks different to how we imagine!

I was reflecting on the revelation that God has been giving us about being lights. He revealed to me that we will also be shown more of who He is, that He will reveal His light to us. He guided me to think of Moses coming into His presence and leaving shining with His anointing and how we can also 'shine' to those around us. I prayed for that shining to lead people to us, that we will not have to find them, but that they will see God in us and want Him as well. I pray now that we would be ready to lead them when they come, open to give them our time, authentic in who we are and our relationship with Jesus, and keen to lean in and know them. Praise that multi-nationalities are coming. Praise that people responding to the doors opening and just coming in, not waiting around in the foyer. Open hearts and people sharing heart to heart. Praise for accepting others. Prayed for congregation to meet new people after the service, prompted by Holy Spirit. A safe place for all people, use right words, wisdom. For unsaved family members, that this would be the time for them. Encouraged the team seeing the fruit of their work. Regulars in the building (businesses) to be affected by the Holy Spirit.

This week at my job things have not been the easiest. I remember sending an sos prayer request to my hubby. He wrote back "I pray you will have peace in this storm". Suddenly, instead of my mind going over everything I had to get done and worrying that I was not going to get it all done. Lost sheep and those lost and invisible within our flock. We prayed that we would be a church of hospitality, welcoming new connections and fostering old. That we would be a safe place to be vulnerable and open up to each other in areas where we are struggling or feeling disconnected to each other or to God. That all would be re-grafted to the vine. ‭‭Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭9‬-‭13‬ ‭(NLT)‬‬ “Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good. Instead of rushing and getting ready to get out of the door in time like I always do, I knew I needed my Jesus. So I decided to sit with Him. I read a passage slowly. A woman who had been bleeding for twelve years. Outcast. Obscure. Insignificant to say the least. In the only way she knew how, she sneaked up on a Jesus and touched his robe. She knew that would be enough for her. In fact, that was all she deserved because she was, well a nobody… ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭9‬:‭22‬ ‭(NLT)‬‬ Jesus turned around, and when he saw her he said, “Daughter, be encouraged! Your faith has made you well.” And the woman was healed at that moment.” I read it again, this time, I saw myself with my pain, my hidden, unspoken pain, I sneaked up and touched His robe. He was busy, He was going to the house of an important person. But He stopped, and turned around and SAW me. He saw me. He saw my pain, and then, more than what He said to me, it was how He looked at me. How He reached out his hand to me. And He said, “Daughter, be encouraged.” My daily bread...thank you Jesus. Then I raised a hallelujah.

Matthew 7:7 (NLT); Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. Psalm 32:7-8 (NLT) For you are my hiding place; you protect me from trouble. You surround me with songs of victory. The Lord says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you…" Still pondering and praying, Lord of diversity, Creator of differences, Sustainer of all, Teach us how to love You well and to devote ourselves to being of one mind and one spirit as we esteem others better than ourselves. What has God been teaching you, saying to you? - God has been reminding me that the more I seek to know someone the more grace I have for them! - I am learning to listen more. To be quiet and listen to God ...or humans. I am one who often over talks... learning to let others talk to me. Also that being patient and trusting God is so important. - God's been reminding me to abide and that He is enough. Really listen - I have been learning about patience and the fact that God is in control.

Psalms 42:1 (NASB) As the deer pants for the water brooks, So my soul pants for You, O God. I feel that God is calling us to draw nearer to Him, to feel our thirst and know that He is the only one who can satisfy. I never used to drink water in my younger days, but now I am rarely without a drink bottle. When I am without one, I notice it missing, I yearn for a sip of water.

I pray that we would continually yearn for His presence in our lives, in our homes, and especially in our church!

At noon prayer today, God spoke to us through the voice of Elsa to let it go. We prayed particularly for us to let go of things that hold us back and hurt God; past hurts, unforgiveness, judgement of each other.

Ephesians‬ ‭4‬:‭32‬ (‭NIV)‬‬ Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. ‭‭ ‭‭Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭10‬ ‭(NIV) Be devoted to one another in love. Honour one another above yourselves.

It’s a choice we make as it doesn’t automatically become ingrained in us. We must abide in Jesus to bear fruit - the Vine and the Branches <a href="https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John%2015&amp;version=MSG">John 15</a> (MSG) Your Way Yahweh. Excitement for unity, knowing people and being authentic beginning in this prayer experience.

In my current life season, so much of what I am experiencing is like a huge present with God yelling out "surprise". I prayed for a few things for so long and here I am reaping my rewards! I was looking for verses to help me to articulate what I know God is saying. The story of Saul (Paul)’s temporary blindness in Acts 9 reminded us that our “temporary blindness” about certain things in our future can be a time that we rely on what we CAN see and know – God is good, Jesus is the head of the Church + our vision/mission/values/strategic plan.

Prayed for unity among the young people and also intergenerationally. Surrendering our own desires and preferences for a Senior Minister so we can hear what God wants. Story of the spies into Jericho; for us to have the ability to hear the people that God speaks through, not the one's without the faith to believe.

Father, thank you for your grace that you shower upon us each and everyday. Father thank you for your overwhelm love you have shown and continue to show towards us. Father thank you for the unity and peace you have given us your people through your son Jesus. In Jesus name amen.

Psalm 139:23‭-‬24 (TPT) God, I invite your searching gaze into my heart. Examine me through and through; find out everything that may be hidden within me. Put me to the test and sift through all my anxious cares. See if there is any path of pain I’m walking on, and lead me back to your glorious, everlasting way— the path that brings me back to you.

We lay before you Lord, vulnerable and in need of you. Tend, trim and train us in the way… your way.
