CARLEON CLASS

The children in Carleon Class were lucky enough to have a guided tour around our very own St. Keverne church by Karen Richards. Mrs. Richards had lots to tell us about the church's history, which was very interesting. We were allowed to light a candle at the end to say thanks or prayer and enjoyed a snack and drink. The church gave each child a little goody bag to take home. We are fortunate to have this on our doorstep. We would like to thank St Keverne Parish Church and Mrs. Richards for a lovely afternoon.

GODREVY CLASS
This half term has been another busy one for Godrevy class. We have all enjoyed developing our map reading skills and using our compasses to create a class treasure hunt around the school. We have also enjoyed visiting St Keverne Church to learn about rocks and natural stone, observing the differences in weathering effect from the wind and rain has on different types of rock. We have had fun with maths every morning with a problem-solving advent calendar, which has supported our understanding of using bar models to answer a question. It hasn't been all work though, and we have enjoyed singing as part of the Christingle at St Keverne Church and visiting the Hall for Cornwall to watch the pantomime Peter Pan.
