Carleon Class
In Y1 science, we have been exploring the senses - we had 'feely bags' to explore the sense of touch and a taste test to decide which things tasted sweet, sour, salty, or bitter. Our reception children have been looking at patterns in maths. Today we found that patterns can be found in music too, so we got the instruments out!

Godrevy Class

This term, Year 3 and 4 have been learning about the Stone Age to Iron Age in History, Art and DT. We have visited Penlee House Gallery and Museum taking part in their pre-historic workshop. We have been using our sketch books to practice drawing accurately, using tone, shade and tints and experimenting with stone age art.
This term, Year 2 have been learning about the school and the community in History, and changes that have occurred over time. In science, we have been learning about the body and using our senses in a range of experiments as part of animals (including humans) topic. In art, we have created a range of portraits, including collage and attempting our own Picasso-style art.
