School Newsletter - September 2023
Head of School Welcome
Dear Parents/Carers

Welcome back to our pupils and a big 'hello' to the new families joining us. Firstly, thank you to our parents & carers for ensuring that your child is prepared for the start of school. The children are a credit to you, looking smart and school ready.

We have lots to look forward to this academic year. We will endeavour to keep you posted as regularly as we can.

We hope you found the class meetings useful but please don't hesitate to email via email hello@stkeverne@org.uk if you need further information.  Mr Mitchell's class meeting will be Monday 25th September so do come along if your child is in year 5 and 6.

We welcome Ed Timmons from DT Coaching who is our PE provider for this academic year. He has started his teaching this week and the feedback is extremely positive.  Information regarding the after-school club, which commences next week, has been sent out and places on the KS2 is now fully subscribed.
Head of School Welcome
Congratuations to Mr Mitchell who has become our new senior teacher. Thank you to Mrs Harman for the nine years of service that she has given to the role previously. Mr Mitchell will benefit from the support & experience that Mrs Harman will provide.

The beginning of the year is always a hectic one with lots of information, letters, dates etc coming your way.  Please can we ask that you keep a close eye on your emails.

Many thanks as always & here's to another fantastic school year where our children 'dream it, believe it & achieve it'.

Week beginning 18th September
Book Fair (available after school until 3.45pm Monday-Friday). Lots of book to browse through.

A reminder that Mr Mitchell is on paternity leave, Mrs Briggs will be covering his class.

Tuesday 19th September - After school football club (KS1) and Laser tag club (KS2). Unfortunately the KS2 laser tag club is now fully subscribed. If your child no longer needs a place can you let Sylvia know so we can offer it to someone on the reserve list. Thank you.

Welcome to our new starters in Carleon
Carleon class has got off to a flying start with our new starters already making good progress and our fabulous Year ones showing them the ropes.

We have made a start with phonics (look out for their sound books in bag!) and have even had a visit from our very brave Florence. We were all so pleased to see her!
Amazing
