Top Tips 1. Keep your text short. 2. Choose eye-catching pictures. 3. Think about the layout.

Step 4 - Check your work to make sure you are happy with it. Check spellings. Make any final changes.

What do I do?

Step 3 - Create an account/login in with Google account for <a href="https://www.canva.com/">CANVA</a>. Choose poster. Use a template or start with a blank one. Add text, shapes, graphics &amp; pictures (you can upload your own too). You can also animate it.

Step 2 - Write your text - include the key points (words/phrases). Try to use 2 different languages. Think about what pictures would illustrate your text.

Linking learners within &amp; across schools

A <a href="https://en-gb.padlet.com/">padlet</a> is a great way to share work and you can upload work to it in different formats (ie. text, photo, audio) with parents and especially with people outside your school community. Sign up &amp; get 3 free padlets.

Why not try linking up with another school? Each school could create their own padlet &amp; post pupil work to share. Remember to only include pupil first names, if at all, and ideally no photos or videos of pupils. Ensure you have the necessary parental permissions to share any pupil work and photos/videos.

How can I make a video? Use a phone/ipad &amp; video editing software/App eg.<a href="https://www.apple.com/uk/imovie/"> imovie</a>. Or try using the website <a href="https://www.adobe.com/uk/">Adobespark</a> for free to create a video with text, images &amp; voice overs.

How can we stop climate change?

1) Decide how you are going to share your work &amp; whether it will be spoken or written &amp; in what language. If there are photos of learners, please ensure you have the necessary permissions to share online in your school community &amp; beyond. Think about who you are going to share the pupil work with (eg. parents, pupils, other staff in your school or even another school) &amp; how (eg. school blog, google classroom/drive or maybe a padlet).

You could also share via Twitter. Use the hashtags below &amp; tag your local authority/support officer for Languages.

Top Tips 1. Use simple text. 2. Use images that exemplify your text. 3. Make it clear.

Step 1 - Have a look at this video - go to approx 11 mins to see the section about making a video.

Step 3 - Create an account/sign in with google in <a href="https://spark.adobe.com/">AdobeSpark</a> for free. Choose video. Follow the instructions/template to help you. For each slide add text and/or photos (free ones are available from Pixabay). You can change the format of each slide. You can record sound for each slide too.

Step 2 - Plan your video first. You can create it from still images &amp; text (like a powerpoint or slide show). Choose a global issue/problem. Think of the solutions &amp; choose 5-10 key words or short phrases about what you can do. Think of a picture for each word/phrase.

Aim: Create a display of key words with pictures.

Your Task - Create a poster with text &amp; images to publicise an environmental issue.

Let's Learn Gaelic: Have a look at the words in Gaelic in the poster about the threats to polar bears. How many can you work out using the images as clues?

Let's get talking: What makes a good poster? Why?

Share your work: Why not use <a href="https://www.canva.com/">CANVA</a> to make a digital class poster to publicise the issues affecting these Scottish animals? Share it with your local community.

3) Think about how you want to present &amp; share what you have done with others. You could create a short text (verbal/written) with key words, phrases or sentences with visuals (drawings, photos, video etc). Or you might choose another medium - eg. photos, a song or a video!

4) Decide what (if any) digital technology would enhance your presentation or help share it with others (eg. WordArt, Canva or Adobespark). Think about the language, purpose &amp; format of your presentation and your audience.

5) Discuss what makes a good presentation &amp; come up with criteria.  Encourage learners to peer and self assess as they share their work. Focus on  feedback linked to the criteria &amp; next steps eg. 2 stars and a wish

Step 1 - Go to the <a href="https://wordart.com/">WordArt </a>website. You don't need to create an account. Watch the video to find out how to use WordArt.

Top Tips 1. Use words rather than phrases. 2. Think of as many words as you can. 3. Words can be adjectives, verbs, nouns or adverbs.

Step 4 - Once you have finished you can save your work - download it as a PDF or image. You can also get a link to share it online.

Step 2 - Make a list of key words in English and/or another language. In Wordart - type in your words. Check your spelling carefully.

Step 3 - You can change the font &amp; colours. You can add shapes and change the style of your word-cloud. Play about with it. Click visualise each time to see what it looks like.
