Strolling through the city where they live, trying to discover geometric figures, numerical curiosities, street names with mathematical content, knowing and linking their sustainable projects also with mathematics.
Students can rediscover the streets in which they live under another look, with another perspective, locate their position or calculate the height of emblematic buildings using mathematical strategies.
Students will be able to acquire or develop their linguistic and communication skills thanks to a different approach of mathematics.

Autun is a French city located in the department of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté.
It was a very important city under Emperor Augustus during the Roman period.
A few famous people come from this place, for instant Talleyrand who was Autun’s bishop in 1788. Napoleon also came to Autun, when he was young : he was sent in a Jesuit school. The school still exists but today, it is a high school, named after the emperor.
Autun suffered from World War II, but allies’ troops who landed in Provence a month before freed the city on September 9th, 1944.
It attracts many tourists from abroad who come to enjoy the beautiful landscapes that the city offers.
Autun is also the city where the only military junior school of France is located and where our wonderful high school is : the military high school of Autun.

From the high school to the cathedral, from the ramparts to the stone of Couhard, Autun is not done impressing you.
