Introduction
Hello, my name is Dayami Huerta, today you will be reading about Judy Garland. You're probably wondering "why is she so important?" let me explain to you why, the reason why is because of her most iconic movie "The Wizard Of Oz", she is also important because of her trouble life. Childhood
Frances Ethel Gumm, was born in June 10th 1922, in Grand Rapids Minnesota, she was the youngest out of her sisters. She was the daughter of Vaudeville professionals, she started her stage career as a child, she was called "Baby Gumm", she sang "Jingle Bells" in front of people at two in a half. She started performing as a part of the Gumm Sisters. In 1926 her family moved to California where her and her sisters started studying acting and dancing. Also she was left in care to her mom. In 1934 she changed her name to Judy Garland.
Education
Judy went to two high school and they were called Hollywood High school and Antelope Valley High school, she also went to Bancroft Junior high school where she graduated in 1937. Judy went to a dance studio called Meg lin Dance Studio, she went to a private school called Hollywood Professional school.
Career and her movies, and music
Judy had two careers singing and acting. She started her acting career in 1935 in September, Judy had already started singing at two in a half years old before her acting career. From there in her most famous movie "The Wizard of Oz" you can hear her singing in the movie, along with acting it. She is also a Gay Icon.
