Head of School Welcome

This week in school, we have participated in Anti-Bullying week. We kicked the week off with odd socks day and spent time talking to the children about the importance of celebrating our differences. Following this, activities took place in each class which included all children identifying their five trusted adults in school. I would like to thank all of the parents who came along to the online safety meeting that we held yesterday. We hope you found it useful. The PowerPoint and links from this meeting will be shared next week.

This week in class...
Class 1
This week in class 1 we have been reading The Squirrels who Squabbled, the children have loved learning about squirrels hoarding food for winter, and creating pictures of the silly squirrels in the story!
In maths the reception children have been learning about 4 and 5, the children have been practising their subitising skills - which is being able to see how many items there are without needing to count. This is something you can practise at home - it is a brilliant skill for the children to have.
We've started to learn the nativity story this week, in preparation for Christmas and we will begin to think about celebrations and Christmas in our learning next week.
