chapter 1
gear

Your jersey is a certain team. you have to buy your team's helmet. Gloves you can have what ever kind you want like receiving gloves. You have shoulder pads so when you get bumped in the shoulder you don't get hurt. You have thigh pads so when you get stepped on your thighs do not hurt.Once you have all the equipment and you can get really sweaty. You should have a mouth guard so when you get hit in the head it does not hurt your teeth. With your helmet on you could still breathe your padding is heavy when you start playing.You could be wet at the end of the game.

Chapter 2 plays/runs

There's all sorts of plays you can do a pass play or a run play. A Run play is when the quarter back hands the football off to the running back. A pass play is when the QB hikes the ball and throws the ball too the team mate that is open.

Chapter 3
About football.

The football field is 140 ft long including the touchdowns. Without including the touchdowns it would be 100 feet long! Still that is pretty long. The positions on the field in QB stands for quarterback he's the one that throws the ball and hands it off to the runing back. There is a tight end that sometimes goes up and catches the ball sometimes he just goes off to the side. A wide receiver is one that goes deep that person is the one that normally gets throne to. At the beginning of the game the ref is going to do a coin toss of three people from each team to see who gets the ball first. Did you know Walter Camp was the first to invent American football in the 1800's?

old football

The gear in old football it had less padding it had less softness in all the gear such as thigh pads, shoulder pads even your helmet! In the old days almost everybody got hurt because there was such small Padding. The color did not show as much as it did now. There was no color showing that there was no it was just one color not multicolored.

chapter 5
Coaches and refs.

Coaches are the people that make the plays There are people that go out on the field and help the injured player they are called medical people.
Refs refs are the people that go out on the field and call the flags like off sides, face mask they are on the field they also call if the tuchdown is good.
