Pop art blue

One morning she saw a strange thing on the beach, it looked like a rock. She couldn't understand what it was from far away. She walked closer and noticed that it was a turtle. She touched it gently, but the animal did not move, it only emitted a muffled sound. 

Una mattina vide una cosa strana sulla spiaggia, sembrava una roccia, da lontano non riusciva a capire che cosa fosse. Si avvicinò e si accorse che era una tartaruga. La toccò delicatamente, ma l’animale non si mosse, emise solo un suono soffocato.

“Return to your family! have a safe trip! good luck! We promise you that we will always respect and take care of he sea and all its inhabitants!&nbsp;&nbsp;

“Ritorna dalla tua famiglia! buon viaggio! buona fortuna! ti promettiamo che rispetteremo sempre il mare e tutti i suoi abitanti!”

The little girl realized that the turtle was sick . She observed it closer, she noticed that a small piece of plastic bag was coming out of her mouth. - You thought this bag was a jellyfish, right? - Martina asked the turtle - Try to resist, I'll take care of you!

La bambina capì che la tartaruga stava male e, osservandola meglio, si accorse che dalla bocca fuoriusciva un piccolo pezzo di busta di plastica. - Pensavi che questa busta fosse una medusa, vero? - chiese Martina alla tartaruga - Cerca di resistere, mi prenderò io cura di te!&nbsp;&nbsp;

NATURE RHYMES WITH CARE NATURA FA RIMA CON CURA

She used to rest for a while, enchanted by the beauty of the landscape, inebriated with the scents of earth, pines and flowers of the vegetation, all mixed with the salty smell of the sea.

Si riposava un po’, lasciandosi incantare dalla bellezza del paesaggio, inebriandosi dei profumi di terra, di pini e di fiori della vegetazione, mescolati all’odore salmastro del mare.

This little girl loved the sea so much that, every morning, she used to get up early, go&nbsp;down into the still deserted bay, dive into the crystal clear water and swim until she reached the two cliffs emerging from the blue seabed.

La bambina amava così tanto il mare che, al mattino, si alzava presto, scendeva nella baia ancora deserta, si tuffava nell’acqua cristallina e nuotava fino a raggiungere i due faraglioni, che emergono imponenti dai fondali azzurri.&nbsp;

Several days passed and when the turtle healed, the volunteers of the center called and informed Martina that the turtle could finally return to its natural habitat: the sea.

Trascorsero diversi giorni e, quando fu guarita, i volontari del centro chiamarono Martina avvisandola che la tartaruga poteva finalmente ritornare nel suo habitat naturale: il mare.

The little girl immediately ran to call her grandfather. He was not far away with his fishing boat and she could get some help from him to decide what to do.

La bambina corse immediatamente a chiamare il nonno, che era poco distante con la sua barca da pesca, per farsi aiutare a decidere cosa fare.

So they called the Coastal Guard. Once arrived, they transported the turtle to Calimera, the sea turtle recovery center, where they took care of the turtle with much love.

Chiamarono così i militari della guardia costiera che, una volta arrivati, trasportarono la tartaruga a Calimera, il centro recupero delle tartarughe marine, dove fu curata con tanto amore.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Stop and listen to the slight breath of nature...what an emotion!

Fermati e ascolta il respiro lieve della natura...che emozione!

The next morning Martina arrived at the beach with all her friends and teachers from school to greet the turtle. Once in the sea and after a few seconds of uncertainty, the turtle took off amid the joyful encouragement of children:

La mattina dopo Martina arrivò in spiaggia con tutti i suoi amici di scuola e con le insegnanti per salutare la tartaruga che, una volta in mare, dopo alcuni secondi di incertezza, prese il largo tra gli incitamenti festosi dei bambini.

Martina lived in Torre dell’Orso on the Adriatic Sea in Salento. A magical place with white sandy beaches, surrounded by a verdant Mediterranean scrub.

Martina abitava a Torre dell’Orso, nel Salento, sul mare Adriatico. Un luogo magico con spiagge bianchissime, circondato da una verdeggiante macchia mediterranea.

Once back on the shore, she loved to take long walks and she liked to follow the seagulls with her eyes, imagining that she was flying with them ...

Quando ritornava a riva, amava fare lunghe passeggiate sul bagnasciuga e le piaceva seguire con lo sguardo i gabbiani, immaginando di volare con loro…
