This book of recipes was written
by the 6th and 8th graders of
the Elementary School "Josip Vergilij Perić"
and
their English teacher Monika Pavlović Grabovac.

The idea of creating a recipe book emerged while considering different ways to celebrate the European Day of Languages in 2023.

Cheesecake
Za 16 osoba ⏰ Vrijeme pripreme: 90 minuta
Priprema:

1.    
Napravite podlogu od keksa: Kekse sameljite i dodajte rastopljeni maslac, šećer i cimet. Stavite ih u kalup (cca. 28 cm promjera) i utisnite na dno  žlicom ili šalicom kao  podlogu. Pećnicu zagrijte na 170*C  i stavite podlogu da se zapeče oko 5 min te je izvadite iz pećnice.
2.   
Napravite kremu od sira: Krem sir izmiješajte sa šećerom, vanilijom šećer i limunovim sokom. Zatim dodajte jaja. Izlijte na zapečenu podlogu od keksa i poravnajte.
3.   
Stavite peći 20 minuta na170*C.  Zatim kratko otvorite pećnicu da iziđe para, smanjite temperaturu na 150*C i pecite još 20 minuta.
4.   
Napravite preljev od kiselog vrhnja. Kiselo vrhnje i šećer izmiješajte pjenjačom i prelijte preko žlice na kremu od
sira.
5.   
Vratite tortu u pećnicu još 10 min na 150*C, zatim ugasite pećnicu, malo otvorite vrata i ostavite tortu u pećnici još cca. 10 minuta.
6.   
Ukrasite po želji. Ohladite u potpunosti, a zatim stavite u hladnjak preko noći.

Sastojci:
Za tijesto
450 g McVittis Digestive keksa
150 g maslaca
3 velike žlice smeđeg šećera
½ male žlice cimeta
Za kremu:
900 g Philadelphia sira
300 g šećera
2 vanilije šećer
6 jaja
Sok i korica 1 limuna
Preljev od kiselog
vrhnja
750 g kiselog vrhnja ili milerama
250 g šećera

Serves 16 ⏰ Cooking time: 90 mins

Preparation:

1. Make a biscuit base: Grind the biscuits and add melted butter, sugar and cinnamon. Place them in a mold (approx. 28 cm in diameter) and press into the bottom with a spoon or cup as a base. Heat the oven to 170*C and place the base to bake for about 5 minutes and remove it from the oven.
2. Make cream cheese: Mix cream cheese with sugar, vanilla sugar and lemon juice. Then add the eggs. Pour onto the baked biscuit base and level.
3. Place in the oven for 20 minutes at 170*C. Then open the oven for a short time to release steam, reduce the temperature to 150*C and bake for another 20 minutes.
4. Make a sour cream topping. Mix the sour cream and sugar with a whisk and pour it over the cream cheese.
5. Return the cake to the oven for another 10 minutes at 150*C, then turn off the oven, open the door slightly and leave the cake in the oven for approx. 10 minutes.
6. Decorate as desired. Cool completely, then refrigerate overnight.

150 g of butter
3 large spoons of brown sugar
½ small spoon of cinnamon
- For the cream:
900 g of Philadelphia cheese
300 g of sugar
2 vanilla sugar
6 eggs
Juice and zest of 1 lemon
- Sour cream dressing
750 g of sour cream or milk cream
250 g of sugar
