We are happy to announce that we reached all the project aims despite the combination of distance and present learning. In the project the students learnt about partners´ cultural and mythological heroes, they also dealt with modern heroes. Students  successfully created a card game TOP TRUMPS and then a collaborative story.

The project focused on heroes, starting from mythological characters and dealing then with modern heroes. Through the project the students learnt about different heroes from different countries and cultures. The main aim of the project was the creation of Heroes ID cards, a website and finally the students created a collaborative story.

Each student created his own logo, each team chose top five logos. Then we voted online choosing the best logo for our project.

Students also designed their own speaking Avatar with Voki and shared it on the noticeboard.

We took into consideration how important esafety is so we agreed on basic rules which were discussed with our students. We prepared several activities about this issue.

We disseminated the information about our project, its progress and results on our Instagram account so the public has been informed.

Information about our project has been published on our school website on regular basis, in school magazines, local newspaper, social sites...

After students introduced each other all the partners read the posts by their partners. Then they took the survey to find out if they knew their project partners well.

In our first online meeting we introduced ourselves and asked each other questions. We also answered questions using mentimeter (survey) to find out who our favourite hero is, and saw the logo which represents our project.

We wanted to share our feelings about our meeting so we wrote our feedback for our partners.

This is how we divided our collaborative task - preparing the ID cards. We divided students into teams which worked with the information prepared by other partner schools.

In October the students took the survey to find out more about their friends, their attitude to heroes and their opinions about them.

We also worked together to create a poster to say good bye and to appreciate the students´work during the whole school year.

In the fifth meeting the Greek partner school presented their mythological heroes. We played a game based on the information gained in the project.

All the students have been given a certificate for their hard work and contribution to the project.

We kept a list of ICT tools that we used  for various activities in our project.

We also continued in our November activity and introduced online our toy hero we have at home to our partners. We described them and had a good time together.

Superheroes by Greek students

In our seventh meeting the Italian team presented their mythological heroes, we played and an online game and took a survey.

In November  we declared the winner: the official project logo comes from Greece.

What were the main activities?

The students introduced themselves throughout various interesting activities using ICT tools. They designed their own superheroes and wrote their description. Each school created an album of the students´ work.

As the main aim of the project was to create ID Cards and a collaborative story, first each partner school chose their 12 national mythological heroes. They found out the information and wrote a short description, finally collected them in a shared website Heroes.

Then using the information provided by partners the students made characters audio recording. So each partner gave a voice to 12 partner heroes. We created QR codes to add them to the heroes cards. As each partner school has&nbsp;12 heroes, we have totally 48 heroes.

Our sixth meeting was focused on Czech heroes, we played a game and took a survey to find a favourite hero.

In November students contributed to the photo album. They added a photo of a toyhero from their home. Finally, they spinned the wheel to write a short text about him.

In our fourth meeting Turkish partners presented their national mythological heroes. The winners of the game received the diplomas.

In order to create a set of cards with our heroes we had to decide together about the "power" to give to our superheroes. We decided everything collaboratively!

In our third meeting we talked about our favourite movie superheroes, took the survey and also played the quiz about movie heroes. 

We also talked about Christmas Wishes, students talked about what they do at Christmas&nbsp;and New Year's Eve. 

Students wrote FAREWELL MESSAGES to their partners.

Creative writing was a collaborative activity as each country wrote the beginning of the story according to the given rules, then other schools wrote the second part of the story so we finally had 4 amazing stories altogether.

The collaborative website has been created where you can find the work which was done by our students including the drawings of the heroes and the links for games.

In our second meeting we learned our friends´ greetings in their mother tongue and we taught them our phrases. We also learned how to say HEROES in the four languages: Italian, Turkish, Czech and Greek. We had so much fun!

Turkish Superheroes

In October and November the students invented their own superheroes. They described their costumes, super powers and drew lovely pictures. Before the activity teachers prepared worksheets and pretaught the vocabulary.
