LITTLE WOMEN
BY L. M. ALCOTT
REVIEWS
This is the book I read recently; it was published in 1868. The writer is Luisa May Alcott, she was born in German town and was the second of four sisters. She received a good education right from the start, and also had Ralph Waldo Emerson as a teacher. Due to the serious economic situation of the family, Luisa had to start working at a very young age, first as a teacher, seamstress and governor, and finally also as a writer documents dealing with women's rights and universal women's suffrage. After losing a sister and caring for her father who was struck by paralysis, Luisa died on March 6, 1888 in Boston. The main characters of the book are the four sisters March, Margaret, a girl responsible and attentive, Josephine, rebellious and sincere, Elizabeth, shy and caring, Amy, extroverted and creative; among the characters we also find Mrs. and Mr. March, the parents of the the girls, simple and generous; then we find Mr. Laurence, a good and kind man, and Theodore Laurence, an extroverted and rebellious boy. The book is about the life of the four March sisters: Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy. Girls are extremely poor, so the book is about how they manage to overcome their difficulties and weaknesses to become women. In my opinion the book is very beautiful and interesting, I propose it especially to all the girls and boys who are experiencing the age of adolescence because it makes us understand how even in the face of difficulties these four girls are able to move forward, pushing us not to never give up even in the face of life's difficulties.

This is the book I read lately. It was published in the United States in 1868. The writer of the book is Louisa May Alcott who was born on November 29 1832. She was an American writer, mainly known as the author of the Little Women tetralogy of children's books. The genre of this book is narrative and the main characters are: Joe March who is the second of the four March sisters. Described as a temperate and rebellious young woman breaking the social conventions of the time. Beth March She is 13 and a sweet, sensitive and selfless girl. Very shy and shy, this is why she struggles to socialize with anyone outside the family and has difficulty being around people. Meg March bears her mother's name and is the eldest of the four sisters; at the start of Little Women she is 16, and to help the family she works as a nanny for the King family. Being the eldest, Meg is presented as the most mature and judicious of the sisters, even though she is occasionally a bit vain and superficial. Robert March is the breadwinner. In the first book he is chaplain to the United States army and therefore almost absent from the narrative. Only in the following,
Little women grow up, good space will be left for her way of thinking and her educational line. Amy is the youngest of the four sisters, a spicy girl. She is initially 12 years old and is presented as a selfish, spoiled, vain and lazy child who always tries to behave like an elegant and graceful "young lady". The story is set in the midst of the American Civil War and centers on the Little Women of the house March, Meg, Jo, Amy and Beth, who
lead a quiet life until their father is forced to leave for the front, leaving them alone. with his wife and maid. The main themes that I have found in this book are the importance of the family, the teachings of parents to children and the growth process of an individual are certainly the main themes addressed in Little Women. After all the reading of Little Women comes my comment which says that in my opinion the book is very beautiful and interesting because it makes us understand how these women have managed to move forward without ever giving up.

This book was written in United State and it was published in 1868/1869.
The writer is Louisa May Alcott. She was born in 1832.
Daughter of philosopher Amos Bronson Alcott and activist mother Abby May.
Her family moved often and during the war of the American succession, Louisa working in the hospital wrote many letters, from which she will make a book and making much success decided to devote herself to writing.
This is a narrative book and it is a novel.
The main characters are: Margaret March, a 16-year-old girl, is the oldest of the 4 sisters, she is mature, judicious and sometimes a little vain and superficial.
Josephine March, 15 years old, is the main protagonist of the novel, is a determined, rebellious and impulsive girl and would like to become a writer.
Elizabeth March, 13 years old, is very shy and sensitive but has a great hidden talent, she knows how to play the piano.
Amy Curtis March, is the youngest, she is 12 years old, she is spoiled, vain and lazy, but going forward with the story she will mature a lot.
They are all 4 protagonists.
Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy are four sisters with different characters who are facing the Civil War. They must change their life to support their mother, while their father is in the army.
The most obvious themes of the book are women's rights, maturation, the realization of one's dreams and the importance of the family.
In my opinion the book is very beautiful and interesting but there are some words a bit complex, but apart from that, I would recommend it because it makes you think about life.
