I am Sam, Sam I am, I like ham, And I also like jam. I play tennis, I play soccer, I ski a lot, 24/7. This is me, You shall not judge, You shall be happy, And a tiny bit crazy. I can hear, I can see, I can smell, I can eat. Bam Bam Bam. This is the end, To this poem, So live happily, Filled with fun. Before I leave, You should already know, I am Sam, Sam I am.

My first ever tennis match and my first ever win.

On a hot Friday afternoon, I walk onto a tennis court. Warming up for my match. Parents cheering from behind, The first match has began. Forehand, Backhand, Down the line, Crosscourt. The first set has been won. Happiness filled my heart, My parents cheering. Fifteen minute break, Sweat dripping down my cheeks. The second set has begin. The hot air blowing, The sun shining down from above. I used all of my strength. I’ve won. An happy ending to a happy day.

This is a poem that talks about my journey to Japan last summer.

The engines of the plane starting, Seatbelt signs flashing, The Captain speaking through the speakers, Telling us to stay seated. When we arrived in Japan, People speaks the language we couldn’t understand, The smell of Ramen coming from the restaurants, The sounds of our tummy rumbling and rumbling. We took a train, Went to different places filled with fun. We took a train, Went to hotels and restaurants ranked number one. We took a train, Back to the airport. We took a plane, Back to where we came from.

What is a worldview? Think about the big question. The purpose of life? Why we are here? The actions. Right or wrong? Overall view of the world. Reflects on who you are. Two person’s answers are rarely the same.

This poem explains where I live and how it’s shaped.

When I look outside the window, When I step into my front yard, I see the water waving, I hear the birds singing on the dancing branches. I walk down the street, The dogs would say hi to me, Or maybe they just want food. I kept walking and walking, At the end of my street, The cars would yell at each other, With the road trying to calm the cars down. Well I guess you can call this, A typical summer in Deep Cove.

As amazing as my Worldview, As beautiful as Deep Cove, As awesome as my dank shoes, As small as my backyard grove. As much as I love tennis, As great as a long weekend, As tiring as to wake up on a Monday, As I like a week to end. As neat as my decent size room, You might still hear a kaboom! By Sam Cui

My Worldview is basically a book. Complicated with lots of detail. Changing and changing. Moving from here to there. One day, my life is filled with ice cream and candy. The next day, it’s filled with spiders and snakes. Similar to a poem. Changing and changing. Marshmallows and cakes to Liquorice candy and dark secrets. Details here and there. But there’s always an end. The last line of a poem and the last time I play tennis.

This poem explains how complicated my worldview is and how it’s changing. 

Down the line, cross court. Mostly aces and winners. Nope, that’s a lie.

I do lots of sports. Tennis, five hours a week. Which is not enough.

Great Family We eat, we play, we travel. Never turns out good.
