Market day was a success! Market Day was held on Friday, April 1, 2022. It was a day that the third grade class sold their goods to the rest of the RBB staff and students to learn about buying and selling. Many of the art works, treats, creations and goods were very extravagant and popular. The third graders did a great job with their work. They tried their best and they were very successful. The Bank & Trust joined in by donating money for the top three businesses of the day! The merchants who received the most money from sales won gift cards. First place received $100, second place won $75, and third place won a whopping $50. The third graders and their teacher deserve a "job well done" for their ideas. Thank you to Mrs. Nguyen for giving them confidence and strength to help them be successful. Market Day was a day to remember! A big thanks also goes out to the amazing Bank & Trust for the wonderful donations and supporting the local youth! It was a great way to support entrepreneur dreams!

Last week, RBB students were having an amazing time at the third grade market. Every student in the class worked very hard! In the morning, the third graders started to set up their shops, minutes flew by, and customers were arriving. At first, customers were hesitant as they window shopped, but as they actually got a look at the colors, they were exhilarated! They were running around left and right trying to find a special item. There were fidgets, books, book marks, cupcakes, and even bingo. Each student was given 5 dollars in play money to spend at the market. They had to choose very wisely on what they wanted to spend their money on. Each student left market day with a smile on their face. After the markets closed down for the day, it was time to pay taxes and repair fees. After entrepreneurs figured out their profit, the three third graders with the highest profit won gift cards. The Bank & Trust is a local community bank that donated money to support our school's entrepreneurs. They were excited to see how the day turned out!
What's Going on Around RBB
Upcoming Easter Egg Hunts!
Words by Quinn Bingham and Charlotte Chen

Intro
That's right on April 14th there will be a HUGE Easter egg hunt for all grades. Kids will bring in some eggs filled with candy for their class so they will be able to go egg crazy during the scavenger hunt. Every student in RBB is so egg-cited for the big day.

The Big Search
The eggs will be scattered and hidden all across a nearby field to RBB. All the grades will have to search for the eggs and quickly pop them into their baskets. The students will find as many eggs as possible. Inside their finds are sweet treats. This egg hunt won't just be for hunting, but also a yummy yum snack to go with it!

Extra
Along with the big egg hunt, there are a few things more to Easter here! There are some surprise activities, but don't go looking for them here, because they're a surprise. Another bit more is that RBB will have Friday, April 15th and Monday, April 18th off! The school is looking forward to a four day weekend. How will students spend their weekend? Some students are planning on visiting family and some are planning on using this time to relax. Both are very good and well-earned ideas.

That's All, Folks!
It may be a great idea to start practicing those scavenger hunting skills. Maybe partner up with a friend and develop a plan to attack those colorful eggs!

At malesuada nisl felis sit amet dolor
March 31st was just a normal day when all of a sudden the third grade teacher, Mrs. Nguyen, announced that students would be planting in the school gardens! Everybody was excited, because they had never planted in the school gardens before. One by one, she called groups and gave them a plant. They each got to plant their own fruits, veggies, and herbs. They included parley, peppers, and tomatoes. While students excavated the dirt they even found grubs. Mrs. Nguyen dug a hole in the dirt, and once she reached the plastic tarp bit that prevents roots from spoiling the garden, she taught her students how to flip the pot over and put the plant inside the hole. After the plant was in, they had to cover the rest with dirt to stabilize it. Third grade loved being outdoors in the sun planting and playing in the dirt with Mrs. Nguyen. Now, they have to take care of the plants until they grow tall and produce peppers and tomatoes. The flowers that blossom will be good for pollinators, and the leaves from the plants make the air a bit cleaner. Third grade really went green that day! Go over to the gardens to see the plants for yourself. And remember, stretch your roots of knowledge and keep on growing!

Did you know that the person who made Turning Red made the animated short film BAO.

Did you know that Toy Story was going to originally be name Tin Toy?

Did you know that it took more than four years to make Toy Story?

Did you know that in Finding Nemo there was 400 eggs in the nest and only one survived?

Did you know that in Cars, Doc Hudson was voiced by Paul Newman who was a racer that unfortunately died from cancer in 2008? He also voiced Cars 2 in 2011. How was that possible? That's because the directors cut some words from Cars 1 and from talks Paul Newman and the director had about Paul's racing.

Did you know that in Toy Story the animators added small details on Buzz to show that he was aging? One of these details was his stickers were pealing.

Did you know that in the movie Turning Red if you stay for the credits you may see a ticket to the concert that has A113 which is where most animators for Disney worked at.
Thank you for coming!
