About project

The Baltic Sea is the place where we go for holidays, have fun and relax, but it‘s also a great place to learn about nature, culture, art, music and traditions. The aims of the project is for children to get to know the Baltic Sea regions, which is our natural treasure and related to eTwinning annual theme to get to be beautiful, sustainable together for our future. We would like to show the beauty of the Baltic regions, its natural surroundings and also the culture associated with this. In this project we also want to raise the very important issue of the protection of the Baltic Sky, to develop the ecological awareness of the youngest and the need to protect the environment.

The aim of project

- acquire knowledge about the Baltic regions (nature, culture),
- developing children’s interests in their own homeland and other Baltic countries involved in the project,
- learning about art, music related to the Baltic Sky,
- development knowledge about sustainability,
- shaping respect for nature and the attitude of caring for the environment
Work process:
September - start the project - invite partners- create pages
October -
1) Partners online meeting to discuss about project plan
2) Teachers' introduction
3) School/ town and country introduction
November -
1) Pre-survey
2) Students' introduction in Forum
3) Take photos of sky on 9th November. Make photocollage and add to page "Baltic Sky"
4) Patners with students online meeting at the end of November
December -
1) Take photos of clouds and make a drawing. Discover what can you see? All photos put to a page and a common maindmap "Clouds Discoveries"
2) Take photos of sky on 9th December. Make photocollage and add to page "Baltic Sky"
January -
1) Take photos of sky on 9th January. Make photocollage and add to page "Baltic Sky"
2) Create questionnaire and students write suggestions about what do they want to do in the project.
3) Students create proposal logos of the project, then they decide by voting or discussion whch one represents from their team.
February -
1) Safer Internet Day 2023. Each team do various activities to remind importance of being safe in the internet. Each team will share what they did to partners on Linoit wall.
2) Take photos of sky on 9th February. Make photocollage and add to page "Baltic Sky"
3) Voting for project logo. From 1st February till 13th February and announce the project logo. Use Mentimeter for voting.
4) Announce students' suggestions from questionnaire.
March -
1) Take photos of sky on 9th March. Make photocollage and add to page "Baltic Sky"
2) Video clip about natural phenomenon in the sky: some students draw a pictures, some make experience about phenomenon, some sing a song about sky, some can dance and then all things we combine and make a video clip.
April -
1) Online meetings
2) Take photos of 9th April.
3) Compare photos of November, December, January, February, March and April. Write in Padlet what do you discover, how the sky was in different places around the Balstic Sea. Leave coments here.
4) Share greetings (or activities) of Easter to friends
May -
1) Evaluation of project.
2) Dissemination.
3) All in all: Report about project activities in one ebook.
