What is this passport for?
How to use this passport
At Forefield Community Infant and Nursery School we have developed a passport for life. This is a portrait of how we want every child to achieve in terms of academic, spiritual, moral, social and cultural and emotional development and supports children's mental health and wellbeing.

We aim for every child to leave our school, with appropriate skills, having participated in a range of activities and experiences, with achievements in a variety of areas and having acquired important knowledge and understanding. We also believe that these activities and experiences help prepare children to access the curriculum within each year group and prepare them for the next stage of their learning journey as well as supporting their acquisition of vocabulary.

When a child completes this passport they will be excellent citizens who are ready for the next stage of their education at Forefield Junior school and further education and ready for life in modern Britain.
Throughout this Passport, there are web links so that children and parents can find out more information about activities, places etc. The passport is available on the school website so that you can easily click on the links.

This passport is split into Year Groups (Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2). It has been devised to be as interactive as possible and has scrap book pages where children can record any extra activities, achievements that they complete at home.

Once a child has completed an activity please tick it off and stick any evidence on the scrap book page e.g. ticket stub, small photo etc. There doesn't have to be a piece of evidence for every activity.

At the end of each year group if 100% of the activities have been completed then children will receive a gold medal. If up to 50% has been completed they will receive a silver medal. If up to 25% has been completed they will receive a bronze medal.

We look forward to sharing all the fantastic achievements and experiences that your child is going to complete so let's get started and go on this fantastic journey together.
