Auburn City SchoolsLibraries store the energy that fuels the imagination. They open up windows to the world and inspire us to explore and achieve, and contribute to improving our quality of life. Libraries change lives for the better. —Sidney Sheldon
Did you know?
Librarians do a lot more than check out books! Here are some of the things we do in our schools:
-Teach digital and information literacy skills using national and state standards
-Select books for diverse students using board policies and procedures
-Help students find just-right books through read-aloud, book talks, displays, and individual readers advisory
-Evaluate, share, model, and manage digital and physical resources to support students and teachers
-Communicate and collaborate with stakeholders to promote a positive learning environment for all
