REPORTS by X-AFatema Quettawala shares her experience while reporting on MATHOPEDIA!
It was a warm good morning, on the 16th day of January 2019, Wednesday, the contestants were very enthusiastic for this day. Sitting on the stage is a great honour. I was very much excited for this day, as it was a quiz of one of
my favourite subjects and I had been practising for it for the last three weeks. The best students were selected from our school. There were 16 mathematicians and 4 groups including myself. After the break, we formed a line and moved towards the stage with all the nervousness because at that time only we had been informed that it was going to be a live event!
Many parents were seeing the competition including my mother but I did not know. There was a great speech by our Masool and Maths teacher. This day was known as the “MATH-O-PEDIA”. One by one every group sat on their allotted places. When I went towards the stages my fellow friends tried to make me laugh. But my curiosity and nervousness had no end point. There were three levels and third was totally tricky . Time passed and our group had lost one score. It was getting tough and scary for me and my group. We answered many questions and they all proved to be right!

After the competition was over and we had been sitting in a corner of the hall with crossed fingers me and my group mates were waiting for the result of judges. It was a hard time to pass, and finally it came
the time for the announcement we had been tensed and shuffled after the competition. My heart beats were pumping very fast.
As one of the judge announced “The winner of the competition is group four“. The time stopped, my heart stopped pumping. There I was my delight was expression less. We clicked many pictures with our dear teachers and when I reached home, my mother hugged me. That day was a pride for me and my family!

Zainab Burhanpurwala reports the Literature Festival, 2019:
Literature festival was a recent big event organized by MSB Institute on 20th of December, 2019 to express our hidden talents on our understanding of Literature. The students from the Upper Primary section to Secondary section were given the opportunity to express themselves. Literature festivals are set at city level, but our school wanted us to also to take part in this activity and bring it home.
To make the event successful students cooperated with their teachers and started their practice for about a month ago. Mrs. Maryann Joy Dreas Sheikha joined us who started the event with a small talk on literature and its significance. Literature consists of poetry, dramas, and plays and so on. And oh yes! Literature is incomplete without Shakespeare’s tales. Senior students of grade 10th presented a short play on Hamlet. Truly, it was such an amazing play!

Furthermore, junior students shared their talents on Urdu language such as, muhavraat, mushaiyyara and shayari.
Poetry is the soul of literature, students of grade 9 performed acts on different poems written by them. Students of grade 6 acted on Myths and Legends and Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling.
Honestly, this event would be incomplete without the encouragement and help of our teachers who supported us throughout the event and also without the cooperation of our seniors and juniors.
Thank you teachers for giving equal opportunities to every student for building our confidence. Also thank you students of other schools, parents, guests and yes Mrs. Maryann for joining us. An event like this helps student in building their confidence, and proves the fact that teamwork divides the work and multiplies the success, as we receive positive reviews from audience which encouraged us. Extra curriculum activities like these are significant as it increases other skills and every students gets equal chance to express themselves.

Munira Bharuchwala remembers The Educational Fair, 2017
On March 2017, we had a big event (educational fair) at our school . There were many decorative and attractive stalls and they had different and interesting topics . Some of the stalls had challenging games. In that small stalls there were hundreds of things to learn. There were some scientific experiment too!
This event was held for students to learn many new things and learn to participate in school activities and how to work in groups and this event was for parents too. There was a competition of water rocket too.
All in all students had a lot of fun and had a memorable time at school.
