The Migration

Once a pone a time, it was a nice day in Hiroshima, Japan 1945. The sun was shining very bright. The town smelled like millions of roses. Nanami was a 10 year old girl and loves to play with her friends. Nanami was on a school picnic in a big field outside of town. Nanami was playing jump rope with her friend.

They played until, "Look!" said Nanami pointing at a black plane in the sky. Everyone saw the black plane drop a bomb into the town then explode.

When Nanami entered the town houses were crumbled, roads were destroyed and some dead bodies. Everyone went in pares. Nanami went to with friend to her house. While they were running they saw Nanami's family was running towards them. "Hurry up and run!" said Nanami's mom.

Everybody ran to the closest van outside the town and the drivers started the engine and drove as fast as they could. “ Boom, Boom!”, Nanami looked out of the back window sadly because she loved the town but now she has to leave because of the bad things that are happening.“Don’t worry, Nanami,” said her mother hopefully.

Everybody ran to the closest van outside the town and the drivers started the engine and drove as fast as they could. “ Boom, Boom!”, Nanami looked out of the back window sadly because she loved the town but now she has to leave because of the bad things that are happening.“Don’t worry, Nanami,” said her mother hopefully.

They drove and drove and drove in the same van for about 10 days but they never went back. Everyone didn't pack but brought a little bit of money in their pockets. Everyone felt pain that they never felt before. Everyone got tired, tired like a sleepy sloth. Nanami held her teddy bear very tight, tight like glue, holding them together.

Everyone wanted to go somewhere different. “I want to go that way,” said one person, “ I want to go this way,” said another, but the driver could only pick one. The driver thought and thought and then decided that everybody should go to Tokyo. After a little while the driver said, “We are almost there,” and cheerfully, everybody cheered with joy!

After a fear minutes, the driver said "We have reached Tokyo!" everyone cheered.

Nanami was so shock at the new place place, she just wanted to go back. Later in the day, they met a family and then the family asked, “Do you need help?” “Yes please,” replied Nanami’s family so the family helped them get food, water, find a new house, get money, and to help Nanami’s father get a new job. Nanami’s family is very happy to be living in a very good place where there is a lot of help. And the two families became friends. Nanami’s family lived happily ever after.
