About
FRIENDS AT HOME, FRIENDS ABROAD
Friends at Home, Friends Abroad is a project under the Erasmus+ Strategic Partnerships for Schools program.
The project brings together primary schools from Turkey, Romania, Belgium, Spain and Portugal.
We aim to reduce and combat bullying in schools, share European best practices, raise awareness of children’s rights, non-discrimination and promote peace and mutual understanding.
We hope our students learn to empathize with others to challenge prejudice.

Introdution
BEFRIENDING NOT BULLYING
The values of freedom, tolerance, respect for diversity and non-discrimination are cornerstones of European societies. Bullying at schools damages these values.
Bullying has wider social and economic costs as well as a long-term impact as the effects persist into adult life.
Inclusive education, equality, nondiscrimination and tackling discrimination, racism, segregation, bullying, violence and stereotypes are some of the priorities of our project.
Poetry is one of the most beautiful arts of expression. Through poetry, students can express their feelings and ideas about a subject or the world around them. The same goes for drawing and painting. In each partner school, poetry contests were held on the theme of friendship, non-discrimination and the fight against bullying.
This small book presents some of those poems, along with their illustrations and photos of the creative process.

Friends
Vrienden moedigen elkaar aan
En noemen elkaar bij naam.
Pesten is niet oké
Los het beter op met twee
Samen gaan we altijd spelen
En zo leren we om te delen
Lachen met vrienden is fijn
En ook samen spelen op het schoolplein
We maken hier veel plezier
Hier zit vriendschap in de rivier
Vrienden zijn er voor elkaar
Was mijn vriend de hele wereld maar
Als vuurwerk en explosief
Vriendschap werkt altijd positief .
