My escape to Germany

After we arrived in Metalini, we stayed there for two days in a sheap hotel so we can save what left of our savings , and then we sailed with a ship and headed to Athens. From Athens we took a Bus to the border between Greece and Macedonia. Then we were forced to sleep among the trees and rocks , because the night had fallen. After we woke up, we continued walking in the forest until we found a train station. We took the train and went to the first  city in Macedonia. After we reached the first city in Macedonia, we were forced to walk for several hours until we found a Taxi on the side the road and the taxi owner was able to speak English, so we agreed to go to Serbia. The border between Serbia and Hungary. The border between the two countries was vast forests and corn fields, we walked for Seven hours until we found a taxi. The taxi took us to Budapest and we stayed there for a whole day. After that we took another taxi to Passau in Germany.

After everything Germany was more than we wanted it gave us so much opportunities and the most important thing it gave us a place to live in for the end of our lives it gave us a new place we could call home. There is no words can describe how grateful we are.

Sryria was Full of luxury and safety, and life there was wonderful , but the situation did not stay that way. In March 2011, conflicts began in the country , wich eventually led to a civil war. Like any Syrian family, we did not want to leave the country . One day this was the country in which we would grow up , but we were hoping that conditions would improve and there would be peace  again . Day after day , conditions worsened more, the number of deaths began to rise , the war intensified more, and a very large number of homes and public facilities such as hospitals and schools were destroyed , and there was no langer electricity and water so even for families like us who were living in Damascus the idea of emigration outside the homeland became an innevitable matter in order to live a safe life.<br/>
