Ski Jumping

This year's Ski Jumping competition was in Pyeongchang, South Korea. Norway's John Andre Forfang ranked No. 2. Robert Johansson also from Norway ranked No. 3 in Ski Jumping. Kami Stoch of Poland ranked No. 4, and Stefan Hula of Poland ranked No. 5.

The sport of Ski Jumping started in Norway, the country that has given us practically all of our Nordic skiing events. It was once a popular attraction at ski carnivals in the mid-1800's. The first official ski jumping competition was in 1872 in Norway. Germany's Andreas Wellinger was ranked No. 1 for Ski Jumping this year. 

Andreas Wellington of Germany is a popular skier, ranking No. 1 in Ski Jumping in the Winter Olympics, 2018.
