Do you want to make good choices in your school years so that you can live a happy and healthy life? One of these choices that you learn to make should definitely be not drinking alcohol. Teenagers who develop healthy behaviours from a young age are more likely to continue these habits in the long term, which set them up for a healthier life. 
When you are going through your teenage years your brain is not fully grown yet. This is a very important time for us teenagers to really look after our growing body and brain, so that we can live a healthy and happy life. If teenagers make good choices during this time, they can protect their growing body and mind. Education is a very important ingredient in teenagers understanding effects of alcohol and the choices and self-control. 
For you teens that are out there and are under age for drinking if you think drinking is cool. Well, you are wrong it is not cool. Drinking can ruin your body and your brain is still developing. When going through puberty the brain can’t cope when drinking and underage drinking can ruin the brain and make teens very unhealthy and possibly sick.
Check out these facts they will blow your mind and hopefully help you to make the right choice for you. Just a few of the many dangers of alcohol use in teens include the following:
Ø Alcohol decreases teens' ability to pay attention.
Ø Teens who have experienced alcohol withdrawal tend to have difficulties with memory.
Ø The teenage brain exposed to alcohol is at risk for being smaller in certain parts.
 
WHAT CAN YOU DO INSTEAD? HOW CAN YOU MAKE HEALTHY CHOICES?
There are so many healthy choices to do instead of drinking alcohol. There is over 100 healthy choices but these are just a few.
1.     Have a non-alcohol drink
2.     Go for a walk
3.     Relax at home
4.     Watch a movie
5.     Catch up with friends
6.     Go to a cafe
7.     Play with pets
8.     Help your kids if they need help
9.     Ride a bicycle
10. Read a book
11. Play a game/ board game 
12. make, bake, cook food
13. meditate/pray
14. take a nap
