What is Son Doong cave?
I chose Garden of Edam also many people know it as Son Doong Cave located in Vietnam. Although this rainforest is in a cave it was formed by decades of collapsed ceilings and have created holes called dolines. Over 3 decades ago in the 1990s a guy who is a farmer stumbled across this cave while looking for a shelter. This rainforest is home to an Impressive eco-system with a dangerous system of pathways. Some trees are up to 40-50m tall while the trunk diameter is much narrower than would be expected. The trees put their energy into growing as tall as possible to gain as much sunlight as they can. Thats why in most caves stays green they get plenty of rain and as the light glances in.
Did You Know?
The rainforest needs our protection because they are critical for our survival because the trees convert carbon dioxide to oxygen for us to breathe. They also provide homes for millions of animals.

Animals and Insects
For a cave located in Vietnam it has quite a lot of species such as geckos, slugs, tree frogs, and snakes there are a lot more species in Vietnam than just these for. Over time they discovered more animals and insects. If you ever go to Vietnam to get there you would have to travel underground a little over 6 days. In my opinion I think the journey is worth it based off on what I've seen so far it is a place that is wonderful.

Why is it named Son Doong cave.
When Son Doong cave was first discovered It was first named Ho Khanh. Later on, people suggested that they wanted to change the name to Son Doong cave.
So, the reason for the name Garden of Edam was during the survey and measurement expedition to Son Doong in 2009. Recently British Cavers Had discovered Deer cave in Malaysa which was then the largest cave in the world. The explorers of that cave named the exit jungle the Garden of Eden as a joke. The explorers of Son Doong decided to name the second doline line the Garden of Edam.
