Gold weighs 11 ounces per cubic inch while silver weighs 6 ounces per cubic inch. Is there silver mixed with the gold, and if so, how much? Representing the volume of gold per cubic inch as x and the volume of silver per cubic inch as y, the given situation was expressed as the system of equations, as follows:
